Four Season Whitetail's

Here's one I took at the bottom of Letchworth back in 2009. He scored 139 7/8. It took 3 guys 7 hours from kill site to truck. Like I said, not for the faint at heart. I have pictures of a nice rub from last year that I will put on soon.

There are indeed bucks that big on the park.Most die of old age as it is so thick and so steep in the places where you find that kind off animal.I have seen them laying in the bottom of the gorge where there is sheer rock walls on both sides of them and the only way to them would be to repel down 500ft walls.Most places we go we have to use ropes and tie them to trees at the top and use the rope to slow down your fall down and they are the only way to get back out.I was hunting there 15 years ago when you needed 3 people on a party permit.We have found alot of nooks and crannys in there but it can be dangerous and fun at the same time.If you hunt with us you will learn antler restrictions and never think about takin a doe or you will be down there with your prize for a week. lol

I dont know if that is from letchworth or not but i can tell you for a FACT that there are bucks in that class on letchworth.I have seen some monsters on the bottom of that park and taken a few.There seems to be bigger deer on the east side of the park as it is bigger and its thick on the bottom.The only place i hunt is the bottom for that kinda deer right there.I would say if that was found there it was on the east side because of the snow on the ground but i think they had a storm come through during that time also.Would not surprize me a bit if it came from there but i can say i didnt see him last season but i saw a buck that might be his little brother.Letchworth is a great place to hunt but its not for the faint at heart!!!!!!

No doubt...If those were legit kills.If he had the same guys score all the other bucks and they were b+c scorers.Who knows..If you read the info on where these bucks were taken its not an area of high scoreing deer.They say if that area produces a 150in whitetail that is huge for that area.That area does not have the genitics or feed to produce big whitetails.There is a big cloud over this fellas head so now its hard to tell what is fact or screwed together!!!!

I am sure some of that crap goes on but by the look of some of the smile's on the kids faces in the ny newz papers there is some dads lettin the kids drop the load on some great tom's!!!!!

I will say that you will see this rack fall off the face of this earth long before rompala falls off the face of this earth.That way nobody will ever know.If he was crafty enough to try a scam like this then he is smart enough to remove any racks that have been fabricated.This one and any others he has hanging!!

Yes bashful he was not.I think all the other great bucks he shot were entered in the bucks with no problems and on the word of the scorers(prob the same ones on this deer?)So he made this thing up and thought the buck would be entered with no problems.

So why sign papers saying that he wont promote the deer.Thats just crazy.If this guy is the hunter people say he is and he has shot many record deer then it should not be a problem.I think he shot some great bucks and got a reputation and then went overboard on this deer.It makes no sence to not clear your name by just a little test.

I dont think he would have agreed to sign papers that he would not promote the deer to be a record buck if it was.Milo was gunna sue his ass if he did not get it checked out like they wanted to do.I dont think a person is going to lose that kind of fame and fortune if it was truley a legit kill.I say its hogwash but thats my opinion.I can show you 3 bucks behind fence that beat the record and none even look close to that thing.Its a hard call to say someone is dopein people but when one little xray would clear the air ?????????????

They are struttin early again this year.I had 5 strutters in my corn at lunch time today.If a season needs to be open earlier it might be turkey's.

Well it seems to be working and thats allright by me.I have seen less does the last couple years but not by alot.I think the young and dumb ones get taken up by the road and the mature and smart ones are on the bottom with me.If thats what they are looking to do and big mature bucks are the prize....Count me in!!!!!!

Great pics...I saw a couple a few years back on letchworth while bow hunting the bottom..Very active little critters!!! Then one day a couple weeks later on my way out after a morning hunt i met up with a dec guy all dress up with radio tracking stuff.He said they were stocking them there and some had chips in them. Very cool!!!!

Not subject to change rocket...Thats the weay you want to keep it.Antler,bubba,Dave and yurself all have some good info to put on here and thats a good thing to have.I dont know if you guys noticed or not but there is nobody else sayin **** on this site except you guys goin at each others throats.If someone disagrees with something say so and let it go.You guys are gettin into each others head now and its gettin kinda foolish.Dont make me open up with..oh lets see here,How much weed i smoke,How many deer i shoot after hours,How i believe in antler restrictions,How i like qdm,Shootin behind a fence out of the question.ok im done for now...lol

Thats what i mean..One says they are right and the other says they are right and it just goes downhill from there.Somebody has to be the first one to let it go between antler,bubba and rocket.Its to the point of being a joke and enough is enough.Question is who is gunna man up and be the first one to let it go?????

Somebody should find out if they had qdm or ar there for a couple years before he say's he shot that thing....This should get some people going!

I think its fake and i will give you an example of a 382/8 in inside spread on a buck behind fence in texas.Go to www.whitetailexchange.com and then scroll down about half the page to where it says popular auctions.the name of the deer is gkr abilene.That deer has the biggest spread of any deer ever in the high fence of texas.Look at the distance between the burrs on that deer then look at rompolas buck.

The way i see it (that it really makes a difference) some on hear do things different than others.I have never used a watch and have been hunting 30plus years.All of my hunting is done on my land or letchworth state park.I am in the stand at dark and out at dark.I let the day and sitituation tell my if its time to shoot.There are some many different things that can happen in the woods ie.fog,fain.I know i have passed on some shots and i know i have taken some shots.To say takin a deer 2 minutes after time is the same as takin one at midnite is like apples and oranges.If everyone uses their heads we wont have a problem.The problem is everybodys mind works a little different...That can get a little iffy.

I hear ya and mabey the park will help shoot that idea in the butt.I highly doubt you will ever see rifles on letchworth state park..I hope the hell not anyway!!!!

There is one fact you dont realize.You live in ny state and if they are going to give something they will get something.I think crossbow will have its own place in ny hunting seasons and there ofcourse will be a fee to get that tag.It will end up kinda like the late season in the southern zone where you have a week and you can use bow or muzzle.

Looks like i am not the only one to let the little guys walk and hope for a keeper.You can fight it any way you like but a few more walkin by and alot more hunters could have walls like that. PS If they were high fence deer they would only be yearlings.Gotta let em walk...Not mature yet!!!

Making money has nothing to do with it.You make it sound like its a great and popular thing if its on the sportsman channel.You could get yur checkbook out and have them film you hunting with jarts and mabey they would be popular again!!

The sportsman channel would have a show on hunting with darts if the dart company paid for the slot.You have a crossbow and a broadhead company splitting the bill and trying to make some sales.Nothing new there!

I believe part of letchworth is in wyoming cty.I dont see them letting rifles on the park with all the hikers and such!!!
