The older fellas that i know who use them on their own property have two trains of thought and one is they own the property and pay the taxes so will do whatever they see fit and second they are willing to take the chance and pay the little fine if caught rather than sit their bow season out. There is still time to get in included and Ny would have no problem waiting a month or two before the season to announce it.

Thats what goes down up here. Private land owners use them at will all during the archery seasons.

Would prob not shoot a buck busted up but if i did i may get a tine fixed if i had history with the buck but never go as far as beam and tine, Wonder what the Op ever ended up doing?

We have flocks like this in 3 of the 7 bigger fields most every year. Not sure why the flocks do not all come together but they seem to keep themselves to a couple hundred acres per flock thru winter. Many find other places to be by the time May rolls around but always more then enough to keep the month of May interesting. Being a fickle bird i think the seasons are set up pretty well as they are now.

You might want to think about the new year and time for new funding.. Funny how you say its spreading to these animals and then say after its INJECTED into them? After 60 years CWD has still never spread to any other critters without the help of man, a white coat and a syringe. Yup its a bad dude. About every state that has CWD for over 10 years now still have more whitetails then the did before they found a case.....After it was killed in another manner......Seeing thou no animal has ever been proven to die from CWD itself....Yup its a bad dude. Funny that some are so afraid of eating CWD positive whitetails yet the country for years have been pulling CWD positive meat out of their local supermarket for years with no issues. Scrapies in sheep is the same exact prion found in CWD laden whitetails. I think with The Donald now running things you will see the wasted millions of dollars givin to white coats will take a huge hit. I mean after all....How many animals can you inject crap into their brains then say its possible that they could contact CWD. Kinda like there is no test to test whitetail deer urine for the CWD prions yet they say the urine can spread CWD prions???? Oh thats right...................It was AFTER they INJECTED cwd prion into urine and then INJECTED that urine into an animal to make it positive. Yup....Its One Bad Dude!

Watching these deer scale the side of this wall trying to get away from a group of drivers. Part goat i swear.

Trail cam's alone demand a pile of time during the off season as well as during. Just kinda strange that chart he put up could pertain to anyone, not just a hunter and no weapons needed.

Just a Fact. Just what i did a couple years ago. Any land is an investment that will rise in value but to buy land that borders the right state land is a big time investment be it for hunting or future profit after sale.

Funny thing is that any and all of the above can be done without a gun in your hand or an animals life being taken.

Yup and that private land is now worth $1000;s more in lease because of all the great hunting

Not so much coming on strong. More so calling out the facts. No animals has ever been proven to die itself from CWD. Ever. They are always tested positive after death by bullet or car bumper. They also say that the Mule deer are being hammered by a growing Lion population? You also speak of Illinois which is a state that has last i knew only had less than 1000 positives over like 10 years testing? But is a state that gets hammered with EHD which is the real killer of whitetails and mule deer by the 1000's every year. Yes some say we should not eat CWD positive deer in our woods yet you look into the sheep business and look at Scrapies which is the same exact Prion yet they load our supermarket shelves with known positive meat? I bring up Wind Cave because that is a state owned fenced in Elk herd that has an 85% positive CWD test rate and yet the state lowers the fence and lets them out for those sportsmen to hunt,harvest and consumed? One has to look at the big picture when it comes to CWD and with it effecting my business for the last 10 years i try to stay educated on the subject the best i can.

LOL...You make this post after the guy above you said ....hoping for the biggest buck possible. Its obvious everybody wants meat but its that big buck they are hoping that meat comes from. Not the first fawn to walk out.

Care to show me where there ever was any Deer or Elk that died from CWD? Care to explain why they have had to cut the fence at Wind Cave Park 3 times and release Elk into the wild? Now this is a herd that has tested positive 85% and they are releasing them into the wilds for hunters to harvest? Wisconsin has more deer now then they had when they found CWD and they were the only state that tried to wipe it out by killing 1000's of deer off. Yet they now have more animals?
