No Doubt..Until laws are put in place saying what you can and cant shoot. That said, Someone making a statement over and over that is proven to be the furthest from the truth proves plenty.

He took his High Fence deer to another level thats for sure. So,So many things can be learned/taught with these animals and he took it to the top.

I do. Bow season puts very little stress on the herd. You ever wonder why every whitetail hunter in the North goes to the Tier for the first few days/week of hunting? Kinda speaks for itself

You call the south a long season? The north has what like 2 months of gun hunting alone? With a healthy balanced herd one should not need to chase deer around for 3 months out of 12 to fill tags and then on top of that put them thru the stressful winter you speak of for another 4 months after you chase them around stressful for 3 months. Yeah thats a write up of having a healthy herd.

Serious? A few days of below zero weather will do nothing to a whitetail that has its health. Not even remotely.

Oh maybe a foot of snow and the cold? Like that really bothers them. Kinda shows what you dont really know, Tug Hill Maybe. Lake Plains Never.! The North now has 3 months of straight hunting pressure. Change the North to what the Tier is now and major herd changes would happen fast. Push guns out of the Rut in the Tier and that herd would mature with less pressure..

Nope because Ny DEC is not smart enough to see the problems to even push to get the laws changed and will stay the same shitty hunting state in most areas that it is now. On a positive note my checkbook will keep adding zero;s the more and more that state screws up the hunting and i will continue to afford and have all the time needed to travel to good hunting.

Wrong! My 900 acres sits next to a very lightly hunted huge military base. All kinds of Ag and plenty of food with normal winters and still very low deer numbers. Once a herd gets run down from hunting,vermin and every other way a deer dies it takes time and effort to rebuild. Not the DEC giving out more tags or even the same amount of tags so it opens the door for hunters to kill all the years fawn crop because thats all they see. Go take a look in a local deer locker in the North? More than half at any givin time had milk coming out of their mouths when killed.

End bow season as normal and push gun season back 10 days to open the end of November.

Glad the deer numbers are fine in your area.........Come North my friend and enjoy the years of mass killing for 3 months at a time! Wont take you to many sits of seeing shit to head back home i can promise ya that!

Including the wives,sons and daughters of hunters that buy their tag for dad. Just read where a dude put two deer harvested on facebook and a Co saw it, He knew the guy and as riding by saw him loading up to go hunting, Co pulls in and ask;s....Going Hunting?...Yeah just for a little while, Well did you not already kill a deer??? In fact did you not kill two deer?? Head hung low as he fessed up to using friends and dads tags! Cant belive you guys that dont believe this is a huge issue in Ny. This guy was a nut case and got busted but i know so many guys that do it and never have reported deer take in years and i am sure many on here know of a few themselves? DEC has no clue of the real deer harvests in Ny and no clue of TRUE hunter numbers.

Buy whatever Xbow you like regardless of Ny laws. First when they open it for full inclusion they will be open for any Xbow and Second you will most likely never meet an officer or be checked on your Xbow. Friends have been stopped and checked for paperwork and never asked to look at or test any bows. Dont imagine there is a big push to write tickets for that but possible i guess.

And up until this season for shotgun the park was all lottery only. After 18 years you kinda see how things are done somewhere and the park makes their own rules as to when,where and what will be takin in the park and ALL the info starts at the administration building. Permits come out and permit results have to be sent back our you will find yourself hunting elsewhere next year. We did hear rumors and it was even talked about on this site. A phone call was made and info was returned that there was not a season she knew of and she went to the next step as grabbing a 2017 permit and read it saying...I dont see anything on permit that says bear is legal to be harvested. No biggie really but no doubt the park went about it shady at the least. I guess after the fact now my question would be as to why the picture and big write up by this hunter and harvest when there were in fact 3 bears taken in the Park? After reading the facebook pages on Letchworth from hikers,Campers and animal watchers you wont see another season on the park or if you do you sure wont see a big hero shot and story about it. Not sure why the big uproar over a bear instead of a big buck except that 99.9% of people that pay to use that park never see them so do not believe there are many and what is there should be watched with cameras and not killed. They have the not many part right i believe.

Whatever, Its obvious to anyone that has any experience on how things are ran on the park and obviously this is another post from someone who is clueless as to how those things are ran. Your opinion means little.

Yeah the part that some of us are not afraid to tell the truth and tell it like it is is what bothers many. Many say just listen to opening day? Hell i heard just as many during the last week of muzzleloader. 440pm quitting time? ya right, Not even close to being dark. By the sounds of it most hunters call 5pm to 510pm as closing time. I agree!

Wow..You really are clueless. I'm glad you know how many deer my 900 acres or my area of the state has? Must be they not only hide well but they also dont have to eat. I mean with all the standing beans and corn around with nothing eating it but turkeys must mean they are giving up food just to keep hiding in the swamp? About every hunting state in the nation blows your theory out of the water. But what do they know. They have only been the top hunting states in the country for the last 25 years?
