  1. No this was not on the up and up like most permits. This guy had his hands in someones pockets. There was no notice to any public about bear hunting in the park. Anywhere. Word has it that he shot it with a high powered rifle in a shotgun only park. Something real fishy here.
  2. That's a beast. My buddy next to the park sent me this today. They sure didn't make it very public to the bear hunting on the park. Lots of people on Facebook just trashing this guy for killing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thats what you call the....Bambi Effect! Thats why i dont listen to half of these guys that bitch high fence. They will kill anything else. Hunting or not Hunting the animal makes the difference
  4. Yeah that's another Ny special. Would like to know the % on that one of who really lives by those numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. No somehow they find their way into the cedar swamp. There is a little slope in the field headed towards the cedars so maybe they rolled that mile? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Would that be the same as. Someone putting a few big round bales of Alfalfa in a couple prime winter yarding areas? Lol. Repent I say. Repent. Maybe Wolc will come over and raise his holy hand and beg for forgiveness for us. You have it right with your comment on those 2 above for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Dont fool yourself....You have not taken a mature 3 1/2 year old buck in the time you have been on this site. More like 120lbs yearlings. If you had a clue on deer or deer hunting you would know the difference in a fawn and a yearling and the age of each. Seeing though a buck with antlers its first year during hunting season would be 11/2 years old. What a joke.
  8. You sure said a mouthful here....Thats his style...
  9. Yeah most with the lack of skills always kills the first baby to hit the field. You have been hunting how many years? Congrats on your accomplishments....You should be proud.
  10. Coming from you this is about useless. You will still be able to kill all your baby buck and doe fawns so dont fret but by the looks of your past harvests you days of killing anything with antlers would be over regardless if they gave you a dozen buck tags. Cant wait for full state Ar and 1 buck tag a hunter would top that off.
  11. Hey dont blame me if you dont have what it takes. And if you are one of the ones that are its brown its down and fill tags for meat and you have to hunt the whole season to do that it speaks volumes And no your not nuts for not being after..Your nuts for not fessing up that even though you are out there for something you are wishing for the biggest out there. But it never turns out that way.
  12. LOL....Ya a person could put a spin on it with a few different words added but breaking the law is just that regardless and we know other states rank their fines based on the inches of antler on their head. Thats because 99% of hunter base their hunting and spend their money in pursuit of trophy antlers and the states know it. Many here also know it but like to fall back on the other line when they fail to drop that big buck.
  13. Just think if Ny implemented these same rules. Bingo. Paradise.
  14. So you are saying it really makes a diff which deer they shoot? Like the statement above that SIZE of deer should represent the amount of time/fine. So more or less you are saying that the BIG buck matter but little does not. But then in the next breath oh so many say that...Its not all about the size of the rack..Blah,Blah,Blah
  15. One DEC officer to work a 200 mile area? Guess that shows why there are few of these operations or even the guy that kills 3-4 bucks a year on others tags ever get caught.
  16. So you are saying that hunters buy and lease land so they can kill every deer on it? Really? How long have you been a hunter in ny state? A lot of things you say and the way you say them points to someone that has not been around for a long time and knows what used to be in this state and what is today. The ones that dont like deer are sure not spending money to rid the landscape of them and most farmers now a days love the checks the real hunters are cutting them as they try and scratch out any good hunting that may be left in the state.
  17. It does for many of us that have 500-1000 acres of land because it is managed by us because we really know what is in the area and on the property. Many have given up on the Ny DEC many years ago and harvest deer on their terms. Not DEC's and their properties are some pretty awesome hunting properties. If DEC and the state did more to know and improve the state they would know more of what's going on. There are so many out there that have not reported a deer harvest in years so I know for a fact that they have no real idea on deer numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I feel for ya then if you believe your last statement is anywhere near being possible with Ny state DEC and their deer management practices. Do you know how they come up with our annual deer number count per year?? This conversation could go on forever but that facts still remain that we are the worst state in the country for deer hunting and there is many reasons for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Riiiiight! Let me guess. You must be what early 20's in age? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Prob not because half of them would be the ones that are happy killing 3-4 bucks a year and filling the family tags Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. They don't work because of the honor system. That's why you need to force people. If Ny had a mandatory check in stations and returning unused tags our state would be in a whole different place when it comes to whitetails. Add in shorter seasons and 1 buck a year per hunter and we would have a top hunting state instead of being the worst hunting state on record. That is a fact. Don't really care what they do in the east or south or Africa really. I am talking Ny state where 50% of hunters out there fill their whole families deer tags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. What the hell are you talking about! Who cares about huge farms and high fence deer do not even get reported to the states. Facts are that Ny is si far behind all other whitetail states and it shows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Look at that states rules for getting both buck and antlerless tags. And look at what they have to do after they harvest a deer. Many places would love to have check stations at their places during hunting seasons. The guys in the city would have to go somewhere on the outskirts but really the city should be separate from the state Many states know how many deer they have and how many are harvested instead of NY's way of just guessing what we have. And they don't have a clue what we really have on many parts of the state Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
