Lobster claw is on my hit list
Four Season Whitetail's replied to HUNTINGS IN MY DNA's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
Nobody makin fun of anyone's bucks, Big or Small. But most people put cams up to keep track of the whole population. My concern for you was having a cam that long in a spot and not having any mature deer on it. To each their own i guess. Even if you went to the dark side any baited and didnt have any mature deer on a property you would still only get does and youngsters. -

Kinda looks like a very small deer pen. Very little under growth. Or a very well used bait site a few years old? -

Cool that would draw them to the munchies. Not much more than a spike...Fat yearling is very possible. That would be the hope anyways. -

Do you have any crops in that area? I myself would be concerned big time with no sightings of anything more than a yearling buck. Apple trees any other food source where ya might be able to get a look at a buck? -
If it was my 8 and they shut down my hunting you could bet your sweet $#%^ that i would be shutting down theirs along that border.

Depending where i am hunting. Sitting on the bottom of Letchworth during the rut is an all day-every day sit. Around the 2 farms i do the morning evening thing most days. Kinda depends whats on the radar on chores that need to be done but during the rut i kinda clear the books on things to do.

Tough call for sure. First you have to get the property before you have to make any tough calls. Make sure to get the land plotted out so you know the lines 100%. If the owner now gave this fella the Ok to hunt then thats prob why that stand is there, For you to boot him will be your call. Tough to do at times, If you have plenty of other stand spots then maybe let him slide with him knowing your wishes of what size or how many animals he can kill on your property that he is shooting the deer on.

Science is what they want you to believe and fits an agenda at times. This kinda makes me think of the CWD in the Urine hoax that so called Science uses. They can take a needle and inject the CWD prion into deer urine and then inject a mouse with that same urine and the mouse becomes positive. BUT after how many thousands of deer tested and many were CWD positive at the brain stem and the Nodes but there has never been a whitetail to be found with the CWD prion in their urine? I would be real careful what science you believe in. In this case its a small little part of a real big agenda and that is to get rid of hunting altogether!

Not on private land. Where the deer are.
-
Yts not going to kill the herd because people still wont be able to get at the deer. Remember..All the deer are on private lands? People that own and lease are mostly horn hunters..So any push of bowhunters or entering gun season early wont do alot to kill more deer. State land mayne...If ya find some with killable deer...
-
Well todays world is all about big bucks regardless or DEC or rules. They know this and you would think they would work with that? Even an early muzzy season will not help lower the population because those same horn hunters wont kill them then either. Just the way it is. Land gets locked up for inches and people are holding out for inches. DEC will never get what they want done until they start working with the hunters that can kill the deer. That for the most part is the land owner and the guy who leases the land. I myself would be more apt to kill a doe real early in the season or not until way late in the season. Anything else goes to the buck i am after.

This may frustrate some hunters a little..

Ha...No Shite...I totally missed that. Season is to short to put any kind of damage to the numbers we had. Sounds like Grow may find this out but i hope not for his hunting sake! -

Been there...Seen that. They will ruin your life if you dont ruin theirs first. 24/7 335 is the only way you will rid your problem when they get those numbers. Trust me....You can do away with the problem. -

I will tell you this...Your problem is just beginning. Wont be long and you will see no small game and then your deer hunting will be for not. The couple professors on here that preach 30 year old studies will tell ya that if you kill they will come back and even stronger. Bullshite...You declare war and do what you have to do to protect your land and whats on it. Anytime is a good time! -

Not when they are way over populated. Biz may have a war on his hands before any kind of herd will be established on his property. -

Yeah so now lets add in that some believe that we should not be shooting lead because it might ruffle a few feathers and you have more support for crap like this!
