2 Women Attacked By Coyote(s) in Wayne County
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Cabin Fever's topic in General Chit Chat
One of those rules that are made to be broken. Seems Ny has many for some reason! -
Way to early yet. The youngsters may be messing around feeling their oat's. The scrapes you see now will not be so called..Active..but more so as the more dominate buck in the area starting to mark a little here and there. Give it another 20 some days and all bets are off. One could explode at any time.

If they still have it and want to part with it i would be interested.

I have a Summit, Lone Wolf and a X Stand. They all get the job done but that little X Stand is the bomb. Very easy to work and at like 11 pounds it can be carried all day. The Sumit would be the pick for all day sits but the X and the Wolf get more use for tougher hunts

Pretty Cool... I cant force myself to fill a archery buck tag before i get to watch the Rut show. Now if it was something special i sure would not hold off but just cant put the heart into it until they start their game. Great Buck Grizz!

Predator Control Is A Must!
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Rattler's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Pretty much all true and your right that they can be wiped out of an area if all of the above ways of disposing of them and then some are used. Hunting and trapping season accounted for the least numbers when the numbers of vermin were disposed of.. -
Predator Control Is A Must!
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Rattler's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
It sure was on our local population. A couple 3-4 years ago there were livestock killings. Pet attacks and big time wildlife depletion . If you have a yote population issue you start at the bottom and that's at the den. One mentioned a 22 and a hayfield which will work but there are much quicker ways. It's just another thing Ny is clueless about and landowners with vermin just need to do what it takes to wipe them out of a givin area or they sit back and watch the things decimate everything. We don't see it as a poaching thing or a law thing. If someone was stealing your property or harming what's yours would you do nothing? -

LOL...This theory has been proven wrong. You can wipe out a Yote population if you want them gone. No means is to harsh. I love how the ones that make the rules do not have to deal with them. I didnt buy my land for a bunch of vermin to destroy what i built and love. I will gladly take any ticket or fine if that was the case but there are loop holes in everything if you look hard enough. -
Hunting with scent lures in early season
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Bow sniper's topic in Deer Hunting
Thats because it comes from a Deer Farm!!! -
Yup..In this house if i burn a grand on something i give her a grand to burn on something for herself. only fair really. It works that way most times but i did just drop 32 big ones on a new Deere so i hope she does not look for her equal part on that one!

Buck Fever For Sure ( for me anyway)
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Water Rat's topic in General Chit Chat
LOL...Exactly why the fence is there. Some like to see and chase the best an animal has to offer. Without farmers help you would not see that. Some are happy with spikers and some need 180 plus. I have 1000 acres out my back door and i can tell you exactly where to go sit to kill a deer about any day of the week. Its not real tough! -
Crazy...I just hooked onto 2 dozen. Thanks for the hookup. These will work great for some of the young up and coming bow hunters in our circle...

Buck Fever For Sure ( for me anyway)

So two things stand out. 1.You have no problem killing an animal behind fence and 2. You have never been to top notch ran high fence ranch hunting for 1 individual animal. -

Four Season Whitetail's replied to Water Rat's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah you must be right with all the knowledge you have on the high fence scene, First lesson you would need to know is that pedigreed breeding stock that fetches upwards of 15-20-25 grand a head does not find its way to a hunting preserve. -

I guess that would be one of the spots you could not hunt with your...I should be able to hunt anybody's property mentality. I;m not sure on those bucks being bread for anything but looks and size but we will let that one go. -

Again making comments without knowing a story...This guy is a BREEDING FARM.... There is a huge difference between a farm that raises breeder stock and one that raises hunting stock. -

Typical remark. Those frankin deer as you call them are a product of smart breedin and good feedin. The fence does the job of keeping the junk out that would ruin a good program. -
We have land on the West at Mt Morris and up outside the Castile gate. The East side is really the better side when it comes to size but its faster to the river going down the West side and working up the East from the bottom. It all depends if you want to hunt to food or the Woods/River. If your land fails you are still sitting within miles of some of the best big buck hunting in the state.
-
LOL...18 years of hunting a spot does make one learn something i guess. Most of them are average for our farm property that borders the park on the Mt Morris end but its the 2nd pic and bigger that is the average where we hang out on the park. Is the property on the East or the West side of the park?

They may check it but when it comes to breeding time and they scent check the scrape from downwind you will be beat. Its all about the Pheromones for success in breeding season so i will stick to the real stuff....

Biz-R-OWorld 2016 Season
Four Season Whitetail's replied to BizCT's topic in Member Hunting Journals
So True...And they grew 43 big ones big$$$ Gotta love it when a plan comes together. As far as the Clover it did not look like it had a very good start and like a bird on a worm...When a clover plant came up as a young un it was snipped of not being able to grow back again. Even just those 3-4 deer would decimate that little plot as soon as it came up.. Like Candy!!! -
Biggest buck I got on cam so far!!
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Hunter9396's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
One more year and he could be a knee knocker. Could also be a great buck for a new or older hunter or someone that does not hunt much. Choices,Choices.
