  1. Not real easy to take them on, on their terms huh? Thats what i like the best about it. If you can take a Tom on the ground by just sneaking in on him you have done something many cant do. Add a few hens or jakes into a flock with him and you go tag him? You have earned it. I get busted more than half the time but its worth it just for the thrill. Its not for everyone.
  2. And most always the first deer to come out into a field or food plot. They are free spirits with not a care in the world.
  3. LOL..Its all fine and well that you boys drank the colored water and try to speak out of the good handbook but its a fact that this industry is fueled by big racked high scoring bucks and will not be a changin any time soon! Just turn the Tv on or walk into any sporting good store,Jump on about any internet site...Including QDMA..and you will see them all working to kill the biggest buck they can.
  4. Well guess what..I have had hunting property since 15 years old and have always has an obsession for big bucks with big racks.I just happened to turn that into making a good living. I say qdma because they are about the only ones that will say..I want a big buck but there is so much more! Well bottom line is they want the big buck first. I can promise ya that if we stood in front of Bass Pro Shop and asked every hunter what their first wish is when it comes to deer hunting and 8 out of 10 will say...The big 10pt i have been watching on my trail cam or something like..The biggest buck i can find.
  5. Yes in your lets say..QDMA group i would say yes. In the real world its all about antler and inches. I mean come on. Even qdma brags to have what 60.000 members? I will give you every one of them and you still will be strangled by the hunters that are all about killing the biggest, highest scoring buck they can. Heck even half of the qdma members will admit that they are all about the biggest they can get but they have this...Religion Disclaimer..that they throw in there about everything else that goes along with taking the biggest buck they can. Its not real hard to read!
  6. Not True? Really? So you say it does not happen at all? Wrong answer. It happens a pile and more hunters are after the biggest buck they can get then there is the so called Mgmt hunter or whatever you want to call them. Its pretty simple to see by looking at the land getting ate up in leases by hunters looking to farm the land in food plots and such...So they can kill a big buck. Its the way of the hunting world and will continue on for the foreseeable future. Its everywhere. On every picture and page of most books,Big bucks on most hunting products. Its everywhere.
  7. They sure do. I know the place i hunt and have land around sure has gained from it. Only like 3-4 years in i believe and i know i have noticed the difference and enjoy the bigger success. As do 100's of other hunters as trying to get on the place is almost impossible any longer without either some luck or some cash!
  8. Not a bit. Most kids that hunt today are kids born to fathers that work hard for what they own when it comes to hunting and only want to take the best they can. Its bred into todays few new hunters that join the ranks. They want big and they want it now. Just the way the world is turning in real life!
  9. Kinda makes ya wonder if they even hunt huh. Words speak volumes at times!
  10. So True! But they also dont have seasons that last into months. 30 day season for all implements and its over, with no guns in any part of the rut. Bring that type of season on and Ny would be in the top 10 best places to hunt...Instead of the worst.
  11. You shoot a someone's..Livestock...Behind fence and the wild deer killing fine will look like Bubble gum change!
  12. What i can say is that Trump will give us Americans back that lowlife politics has taken from us for years and years. he is all for the 2nd. he wants up to protect ourselves. He wants our pistol permits to be just like drivers permits and be accepted in every state. Trump cant be bought like some many others. he will have a very good team of smart people behind him getting us back to the free country we used to be!
  13. I saw a pic of our buddy Joe on facebook this morning with a nice one his little brother blistered!
  14. Ha,...Since the warning was out??? I believe you read the rules the day you signed up... Nothing new has been added. I am not one bit worried about what i say on here. 100% truth and fact. There is no stalking on a public site. They post and one agrees or disagrees. Just happens to be that i dont agree with a season on a songbird that is far and few between or wasting my money on put and shoot Pheasants. Just the way it is. As far as law breaking you have no clue what we can do on our properties and how we can go about it without the worry of laws. Us landowners know that stuff! Keep Trying!
  15. Guess its a good thing they did not enforce them to hard. For your sake!
  16. Have to make sure to always have some way to tell who they are . Stops guys from shooting the ones you want doing the breeding. Did you know liquid nitrogen dropped on hair will turn it white and never go back to original color? Nasty Stuff!
  17. Lol...How did those words taste coming out?
  18. I am with ya but can tell ya that we have seen the same bucks year after year. So its easy to tell its them with a ripped ear or marking and even rack at times. They may drift off that 1000 acres but if you give them what they need at home they wont roam to awful far.
  19. Cant fault a guy for telling the truth on a couple different levels. Sounds to me like he has it all pretty much figured out. With Facts!
  20. I know of a good few 1000 plus acre chunks that are being managed by the owners in their ways. Both way up here and down on our other land. 1000 acres is not much when you get a good sized farm along with some smaller beef operations and even private small parcel owners. There is 1200 acres of such right out my back door hooking up 2 roads and bordering the military base that is owned by 3 owners and 2 dont hunt. Pretty sweet when ya see what can be done on some properties.
  21. Dont just live on a property? I believe if you have a big enough piece they sure do. The lands that i know of that do their own type of management have some of the best hunting there is to be had. Multiple 1000 acre chunks can really show what can be done. Most people in the DEC that make these decisions do not even hunt. Ya i am sure they know whats best.
  22. And this statement shows a little more of the DEC's true colors. Make your own choices on your own property.
