I have heard from a couple of people about polar vortex in September. I assume it would not be as severe as last January 7, but we would probably have a killing frost I Assume. The fullmoon I believe will be around September 10. Only time will tell !

Have Patience, Clover can take two to three weeks to germinate, the brassica may not take as long just give it time. Mother nature can be a bit trying !

clover will usually continue to grow until their is a killing frost. The deer will graze it,unless they have a better food source. The only reason to mow is if the weeds grow to much .

strange year here too !leaves turning color and some falling off,not apleasant thought having a repeat of last winter !

I gota late start on hunting 20 years ago at age 39. A friend asked me to go bowfishing for carp, I went and enjoyed it.He had an old compund bow I started with, bought a new bow a few weeks later, a bunch of guns. I enjoy the outdoors and especially the woods. I stillprefer bowhunting over gun anyday !

Hog Weed is all over the area , along the roadsides, field edges.it can cause a nasty rash if you contact your skin.

Fortunately the worst of the storm went around us here. We gotsome rain ,good luck to those in the path of this storm. We certainly have had some unusual weather over the last seven months !

The Catt. County Sportsman show should be coming up in a couple of weeks at the Little Valley fairgrounds. I have been told they have a lot of trapping stuff their. Good Luck !

Kinzua Dam is in Warren , Pa. It had a high water mark on the dam from the flood of 1972. hurricane Agnes hit us in June of 1972 dumping mnay inches of rain in the southern tier.The dam stopped the flooding from being much worse down river. Never camped their but I wish you luck. Thre are many golf courses in the area.

What part of the southern tier are you located ? Belmont Archery Shop located off of Interstate 86 handles Bowtech, Matthews, PSE and others. While baling hay today,in a field next to marsh bedding area a doe with three fawns appeared. I have seen a doe with one or two fawns but never three before. They all appeared in good health but closer I got to them, they took off !
