I've always looked to shoot mature doe opening weekend. no mommies with babies though, I don't like to break up families early in the year! you hate to eat a doe tag come nov/dec... when all the deer are hiding!!

Agreed... If I've had permission to hunt a property but another individual who also hunts there isn't aware of that, they've always laid my stands on the ground. Then we will talk things over. It may be good to leave a note, and let the individual know the property is being watched closely, and that this is their warning

Rage 2 blade will be my first year shooting this.. otherwise MUZZY, most recently Trocar in the past couple years, flies real nice

Great deer buddy how to keep your cool

11 pointer from opening day of gun season, 45 minutes into daylight. Shotgun season for us here in Genesee County. He was chasing a doe up the hill at 25 yards, good thing I had some good wind, he was right on her tail. Let's just say he dropped 25 yards away. Let me know what you guys think. We've been letting the bucks mature on our property and it has paid off. Shoot straight! Good luck everyone
