MACHINIST replied to Pav2704's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I know my friend that owns the farm has said he has put it in as late as late June early July but he also said it messes with his yeild really bad if he does. For a food plot go for it. -
What kayak for fishing/deer hunting?
MACHINIST replied to MACHINIST's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I actually have a line on a cheap 14 foot canoe and think I am going to go that route for deer, thanks -
When I do plots at my lease I mow a few times, then spray twice.I will usually spray a week or to aprt and give it however long the weed killer says to give it.Once i have seen that all the grass is dead I start tilling. My friend and I built a set of disks a few years back and they work ok,I am surprised how well the groundhawg does.In the one pic I see alot of dirt flying is that from the tiller or the wheels from the wheeler throwing it?

I have a few spots that I have always wanted to hunt but the 3+ mile hike in says no way.If I kayak'd/canoed in I would get within a 1/2 mile.his will be small streams and lakes.I rent kayaks on the moose river in old forge each year and have used canoes also so I am no newb but still don't know what I need for a hunting kayak.I figure a good tandem with a 500lbs+ capacity should do the trick. What Yak would you suggest?Cheaper the better as always!!LOL

I need to do some more looking but I to like his stance on most things I have seen from him.I hate when a politician promises one thing then does another......but thats the name of the game when it comes to them -

WTB plastic removable top barrels
MACHINIST replied to MACHINIST's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
We have a 33 gallon trash can full and 2 guys can move it easy enough.I am not looking for bear protection from the drums I am looking for ease and also keep the grain dry in case we hit rain storms on the way.As a last resort I will use feed bags but for the cost of 2-3 of the steel drum that moog posted I can line them with a big plastic bag from work and be done with it -
oh nice!!Do you know which cam specifically they are?

Whats the DPS?

I am looking for 2-3 plastic 55+- gallon drums with the removable tops.If I cant get them with removable tops then just regular ones may work also but would rather have the removable top.I am moving some grain to my bear guide in Maine in September. If someone has something that's square, round, teardrop shaped I really don't give a rats butt!!LOL Hopefully close to the Fulton,Syracuse and Watertown area.Let me know what you have

Great stand for the $$.I had one that was stolen and replaced it with a viper. The biliary is real nice for late seasons when you are bulked up with clothes alsk
-
Saw that,cudos to them!!!

On my way to work I drive by 2 swampy areas and I always see them this time of year.Either dead or heading across the road.I stop to move as many as I can but I have seen a few swerve to hit them.I cant believe people would do that because most of the turtles I see in a given year are older than the majority of the drivers on the road.So why kill them, its not like they are full of rage and come after you if they happen to get in your yard.Dumb azz people I guess!
-
Not debating,in fact I will steal those people images and put them up on a few other site I belong to.Thanks
