  1. Bucks will most likely be out of velvet.I really like hunting the early season because deer are fairly easy to pattern.Still on summer patters/food patterns and haven't had hunting pressure so you get a little more slack. Not sure if I would take the first week over that rut but I hunt like mad all year and you wont see me not in the woods the first week I guarantee you!!!
  2. HEY HEY HEY he aint stealing all my thunder darnit!!!HAHA
  3. What is the difference in regulary archery broadheads and crossbow broadheads?
  4. I will be out of state that day,do you have any more planned near the Syracuse area?
  5. Yup big deer in that area.If its not leased bud I would love the chance at it next year.Keep me in mind, moog knows me
  6. x2,I am a stand hunter mostly but the last few years I have gotten into still hunting/scouting after the morning sit on the way to a new stand or back to the truck.I am about as clumsy as a guy can get but if you take your time your will walk up on some deer.
  7. Should be rifle, they opened that area last year I do believe.
  8. Yea I want a mini 14 but I have heard that they suck for accuracy. What kind of groups do you guys get with yours?
  9. Are you a politician?Answer a question with a question about a question
  10. If I were in a better position money wise I would have to take a look.I have spent my limit for the year though
  11. F all that noise about being scared,I bought and paid for my liscence a while ago.If they dont give it to me I am still hunting.I have done everything in my power its up to them now
  12. Because he lives to stir the pot, thats what he does in 75% of all the threads he posts on.He is here to cause problems and thats about it.
  13. We just text when deer hunting. When we are calling for coyotes we have walkies set up with ear pieces so if the guy without the call sees something he can relay info to the caller.Personally I would rather not use text or anything but the guys I hunt with all use them so I go with the flow. They also know if I don't answer its just me.One of my best days in the stand last year I dropped my phone right at daybreak and left it there. No interruptions....no deer either but it was a great day
  14. Dead is dead, guy I hunt with shoots 300 mag with Remington corlocts and it doesn't destroy the deer.It does more damage than my 308 or his 3006 but not bad enough for me never to hunt with a 300 mag on deer either. The most destructive gun I have seen on a white tail is a 12 gauge shooting hizut type long range hot rounds.Put a mean hole in em!!
  15. I have owned a few over the years but opted for a bolt gun instead. When I look back at all the deer I have killed with long guns in my life all but 1 could have been taken with a 30-30.I like to hunt with a scoped gun and I feel scoping a 30-30 throws the perfect balance of the gun and just plain doesn't look right either, still great guns!!!I have always wanted a old trapper model in 44mag,maybe one day.
  16. This is how its starts people,evolution........next thing you know we will have to share the buses with bears!!!LOL
  17. looks like a savage to me
  18. What brand gun?I love my 308!!!
  19. This was on another forum I get on,not sure how true it is as I dont get on facebok so I cant verify, maybe someone with a facebook account can and get back to us Here is their comment on Facebook........... The Original Muck Boot Company We would like to respond to our loyal customers and provide additional information about recent posts on social media regarding a monetary donation to a local animal care organization. Our post inaccurately stated that a donation was made to The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Moreover, the post itself was inappropriate under the circumstances. Family members of an employee who recently passed away requested that, in lieu of flowers, co-workers donate funds to the Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island, a local association founded in 1978 to solve community issues primarily related to stray cats. They are not affiliated with HSUS as the posts incorrectly stated. The money is not a corporate donation, but a collection of personal contributions from employees with the intent of remembering a beloved co-worker. While our intentions were good, the use of corporate social channels under these circumstances was inappropriate. Muck Boots has a heritage of respect for the outdoors and for nature. We apologize for the anger and confusion the posts have caused and have removed them from our social channels.
