Death yea, the amount the public is held hostage for taxes, well thats something that can be changed, not impossible and the total collapse of a system should not have to be what brings that about. Its starting to happen in America, read the headlines.

You know the guidance dept and administration offices in our district are every bit as well adorned as any law firms in NY city. I'm talking wood furnishings, including wood filing cabinets, the latest in electronics, beautiful moldings trim and chair rails and desks and seating that rivals a corporate fat cat ceo's office? Long gone are the days of metal desks and file cabinets. Oh and you gotta see the teachers lounge, 60 in flat screen, blue ray, whats next 3D?

Oh I apologize, my math was off. I recalculated and in 6 years my school taxes increased closer to 28-29% not 25% in 6 years to the day. Its just that Im afraid to look anymore. But something must be off with this years increase because it well exceeds the 2% cap that Uncle Andy promised use, Imagine that being lied to by a politician, LOL!
-
Not so sure if those increases in housing values are all that accurate. I have been watching realty trends fairly closely in NY state including NYC and Long Island. The bank/stock market has been giving far better returns than NY real estate has in the last 2 years.

Went up another 389.00 bucks just for school taxes. My increase is 1/2 of my nephews total tax bill in Tennessee. Been in my new house for 6 years and am now paying 25% more on my school tax bill than when we moved in.

The facts are always in our favor, but the people who wanna go pee pee on the 2nd (Cuomo)have a way of distorting those facts or cleverly hiding them from the public....- 1 reply

Grow, take the sign down and just put up another cam, well covered, i'll bet you catch your rat...

So what did they do pull the card? They were probable trespassing and saw the cam and realized they were photographed then pulled it. Good sign though...

Only takes me 5 mins to gut a deer.

I moved from the sand bar 10 years ago and love it up here, I still go back down to visit but that's good enough. Despite everything (Cuomo) I love NY and will always live here at least most of the year....

Come on you internet savvy dude, theres about a dozen how to vids on You-Tube that show how to do that.

Probable one of the most level headed people on this forum, Happy B Day!

With all that land maybe you should just invite the original poster over.

That's actually one of the biggest arguments for our 2nd amendment rights. Cops will not always be there for you and in a situation of social breakdown you "will be on your own".

I don't know if this was posted yet but did we all forget the LA riots of the 90s and the same LA riots of a month ago when the cops just split as people were being beaten to death, white people that is (hope that's not racist) Just last month cops locked themselves in cars and watched groups of black teens beat white people walking on the streets, and they did absolutely nothing. So what the big surprise in this article?

Yep, another newbie looking forward to learning the craft

Go for it and don't be afraid to make mistakes, that's half the fun. Try different things and keep an open mind. -
I would say right now weekend mornings nice days like this weekend when landowners are out and about. Not after work when people just wanna get in and eat and put their feet up. I tell you though state land opportunities are often overlooked in this state. Theres tons of state forest, get onto that NYSDEC.com site and go to the state land interactive thingy. I hunt my own land and have access to surrounding private neighbors land totaling bout 120 acres but after a while even that gets boring and I often head to the great expanses of available state forest we have here. During bow season theres hardly anyone there and after the first week of rifle you might only see a hunter or 2 a day if that..Just saying don't pigeon hole yourself into only hunting private land.

Damn you don't sound well...Hope all is OK.

I think he was saying the rich are screwing you. Kinda like when the rich tell you take responsibility for yourself because we are taking your social security... -
Millions of innocent bunnies, woodchucks, deer and countless other cute little fury creatures are murdered every year to produce all those damn extra veggies those vegetarians must eat!

Buckboy you couldn't be more spot one. Carlin was truly one of my heros who could clarify things in a way no one else could, and make you crack up laughing while doing it! -
To think that people still have this hope for the Republican party is sad. Back in the 90s we had a none party true Independent by the name of Ross Perot who garnered 30% of the vote and that was very scary for the rich and powerful who really control this country and the political system. They quickly made adjustments and with the resources of media and much of the country's money have now cunningly corralled the nations vote for the ole choice A or B to a stunning 95%. It amazes me that that the power of these people have gotten this country to a point where almost the whole country votes either Democrat or Republican and almost right down the freakin middle "WOW" ingenious you really got to hand it to them the control is mind boggling, all while most of us still sit around thinking we bask in freedom and liberty, pretty good huh?

Very curious because leaders who we accuse of doing the wrong thing like Hugo Chaves could walk amongst his people anytime anywhere and always drove anywhere in an open top vehicle without any fear of someone blowing his brains out, interesting...
