Pick yourself up a couple of 5 round clips so you can legally hunt deer with it.. Also, do NOT shoot commercial factory loads through in it unless they are specifically loaded for the M-1. Milsurp stuff or proper handloads only. I learned this the hard way, and had to replace my operating rod after shooting only a few boxes of Remington Corelocts...

Loooks like a BEAUTY ! Much nicer than mine... DETAILS !!!

I've hunted ducks, geese, and turkeys with Maytom. Does fishing count ? I've fished with Lawdwaz and OldKevin...

That was me, Rob...I realized that I had forgotten my toilet paper..

I'm guessing that may have been Doc ( Paul) Pelham, a veterinarian. I watched him win the first turkey calling contest I ever attended, in Portville in the late 70s or early 80s..He beat Dick Kirby in that contest.. I had the pleasure of meeting him...Fine gentleman..Liked his whiskey too !...<<grin>>..

Dick was from Orchard Park, I believe... I met Maytom on a turkey hunting forum, in the late 90s...I can't remember which one..We hung out on several over the course of a few years. We attended 3 NWTF Annual Conventions together and hunted ducks, geese, and turkeys in NY and PA. We have also got together socially a number of times along with other internet friends.

This is all Greek to me... I'm the old fart who ALWAYS has someone right on my rear bumper.. Never had a speeding ticket in my life...Nor any other traffic ticket, except for one for an unsafe tire when I was 18...

I'd just like to say that I am very happy to see another veteran turkey hunter, my good friend Maytom, posting on the forum on a regular basis. Did he ever tell you that Dick Kirby used to cut his hair ?...<<GRIN>>..... We have shared some good times...

That cougar has quite a cameltoe.. I think I may KNOW her....

I have never been real anal about keeping my rifle bores squeaky clean. I generally clean my centerfire rifles every 20-40 rounds with Sweet's 7.62, which is a pretty aggressive copper solvent. One of my hunting buddies has a 1970s vintage tang safety Ruger 77 in .270 and claims that he's NEVER cleaned the bore, and the damn thing still shoots bugholes with any load he puts through it. That is an extreme example, of course...

Shucks, Bill, I heard about sightings when I was a kid in the 1950s and 60s... There never seemed to be any physical evidence THEN either....Hmmm...
-
Yeah, me too...I can't stay AWAKE until last call anymore..
-
Don't be so mean, Wooly... She'd be a beauty queen at " last call"....
-
Easy...Just roll her in flour...

Yeah, I know several people who have seen numerous pumacougars..A couple of them were even SOBER. The hard part is trying to keep a straight face when they tell me about it. I usually just smile and NOD....

Just a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine came into the Legion and announced that his sister had seen a mountain lion along the highway near Lindley. When someone made a skeptical comment, he said " Are you calling my sister a liar ?" My answer was absolutely not, she saw SOMETHING and it is within the realm of possibility that it was a mountain lion. However the odds are about a million to one that she was mistaken".

" Naked and Afraid"....... Sounds like the local nudist camp during the annual porcupine migration.

LMOA ! Great stuff ! Robin Williams was a comic genius... His improv was great too, like one of his idols, Jonathon Winters...

Sweet, Paulie...He could do some damage with those hooks..

The Mermaid has perhaps 40 acres of old hayfield on her 107 acres.. I have limed and fertilized about 8 acres adjoining the woods and have planted food plots there for 7 or 8 years now. The rest is hayed by a neighbor..The hay ain't much, mostly weeds, but she does not charge him for it. Every year he leaves 3 round bales in a strategic place where I can use them as a ground blind to watch my food plots. Works for us...

Reminds of myself when I was younger...<<wink>>... A buddy of mine I and were out videoing turkeys a number of years ago. We had some pretty mild March weather that year and as I recall it was about the second week of March. He got a video that day of a gobbler mounting a hen, with another gobbler alongside " choking his chicken" on the ground.

I was planning on it, but I have a flat tire on my Schwinn...Besides that the basket in front of the handlebars won't hold enough beer for the trip.

Presented with apologies to " Karnak the Magnificent" for borrowing some of his material. "Mount Baldy".....What Yul Brynner's wife did on their wedding night. " Chicken Sukiyaki".....Japan's last surviving Kamikaze pilot. " Wicker Box"....What Elmer Fudd would like to do to Jennifer Lopez.
