I didn't believe any of the polls against trump. Especially the ones that had him at such a huge disadvantage. I knew those were BS right away. But you can get a pretty good sense as to what the people are thinking by listening to others talking, FB, signs in yards and just using your head and not believing what the media tells you. O I will defiantly remember this one. I'm sure this election will be talked about for a long time. I'm glad I finally got out and voted and did my part. Will most likely be continuing my routine of long morning hunts this week. Seeing decent doe movement and a couple little bucks but no big ones yet. I'm growing impatient lol. Currently hanging off the side of my stand as much as I can without falling off. Trying to get some sun to warm up! Lol. I've got two does about 70 yards out just standing around. Been here for over a hour. They came running in like something was chasing them though. Heard chasing going on just before light too. Come on big buck where you at!? Good to see some of you got some nice bucks down today!! And it seems like there was some decent action for most of you. Didn't make it out today unfortunately. [emoji17]. Worked until 730am. Then my FIL and his buddy came up to install some new French doors onto my patio. We were all done by 2pm but I was exhausted from a rough night at work and decided I needed to get a few hours of sleep before being back to work by 7pm tonight for another 12hr shift. Hopefully bolting out of this mill at 7am and will be in the woods asap for the rest of the day tomorrow. Quick cam check Friday shows new bucks showing up left and right. Here's one that I've never seen and looks to be a nice buck. Not sure if I'd shoot him or not yet as the pic isn't great and it's hard to tell how good he really is. A few of my buddies say that same. I've never had one or even thought too long about getting one at the prices they want for them. Article I read about their stock tanking made me laugh though. Another company that got to big for its britches too quick. Apparently they've come to find out that 99% of the world doesn't live interesting enough lives to warrant wearing a GoPro around all day. Scouting with a weapon out of legal season?? Doesn't x-bow open the 5th? I could be wrong as I don't pay much attention to the laws for xbows. These pics just support my theory of xbows creating even lazier hunters. This guy is a slob. Probably some idiot who walked into Dicks and decided he was gonna be a hunter and bought himself a xbow and hit the woods. Not a stitch of camo on to boot. 4H this morning. My house is in 4H but I have a few spots in 4J too. I bounce all around. There have been numerous Sightings of 2 different bucks within 2 miles of my house that will push 160. I don't have any trail cam pics of them but I've seen them just don't the road so I'm holding out hoping something spectacular walks by Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had a spike come by early. He reappeared 30 mins ago chasing 4 does. Heard another buck grunting off to the side so I hit my grunt call to try and draw him out of the thick stuff. It worked. A nice little 8 point came my way in a hurry. He spent the last 20 mins circling me from 10yards to 40 yards out. I'll be out in the mornings everyday this week. Afternoons are looking to be pretty warm and wet in a couple days. Had a spike cross the field this morning with his nose to the ground. He barely lifted his head to look where he was going. Had about 5 more deer come by all before 830am. Was a nice frosty sit this morning. Hoping to see some good movement again tomorrow morning! Switched my work schedule up a bit for the next 2 weeks. Requested 9pm-5am. This way I can be home in plenty of time to hunt the mornings and I can sacrifice a little sleep and hunt afternoons too. Sorry to hear your struggles. If you lived closer to Albany I'd say inquire with the company I work for. It's union blue collar work but not many other places you can make 50-80K a year without a degree and have zero experience in the field. The other upside is there's pretty much zero chance we will ever get laid off here. It's a flour mill and the world needs to eat regardless of what the stock market does. Good luck in your search. They can survive some pretty intense damage. I've seen broad heads pulled from deer that have appeared to have had the broad head in there for at least a year or two. Surviving a gun shot is a little more rare as far as my personal experience has been. But it's known to happen. Here's a pic I came across on FB the other day. I think the story was a bad bow shot and buck is still alive to this day supposedly. It is a FB story so who knows. Great morning here. Sat a buddies property and stuck a nice doe. Got her back to the house and hung up. Debating on whether or not i should let her hang until tomorrow before butchering. It's supposed to get to 50 here today. A little on the warm side. But it is gonna rain and then cool off into low 30s tonight and stay in the low to mid 40s tomorrow. I'm thinking it will be alright to let her hang overnight. In total I saw 5 deer. A button buck early on and then the group of 2 does and 2 fawns came in around 8. Appeared to be the biggest doe was the momma and then the doe I shot was kinda off to the side on its own. Looks to be around 2 years old maybe. But 4J tags are unlimited and my freezer needs fillin! So a hypodermic she took to the lungs. Made it about 60 yards. Stopped and stood for a moment. Fell over, gave a couple kicks and was done. Arrow was sticking straight up in the ground with the lighted nock beaming. Text book morning. Feels good when things go smooth and right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
