Well it looks like I have a momma and cub and I'm guessing this is the male. I have quite a few pics of him and there's no cub to be found on any pics. He looks bigger too. I really hope to see this big boy wandering around this fall!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ha! Bells are a good idea. Kids would prolly get a kick out of it too. Might have to give that a try! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rained hard for 30 mins here. Now the sun is back out. With no more dark clouds in sight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've tried lawnson lake a few times. Got skunked every time. If you go down into Albany and get a permit for the basic creek reservoir, there is some pretty good fishing there. Just don't try fishing the alcove! Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trail camera's.....which one?
Adkhunter1590 replied to maytom's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
Spypoint force 10 is out in the woods. Got it in the mail this afternoon and quickly popped some batteries and card in it and hopped on the wheeler. Headed out back and down into a bottom on the south end of my big field where it's a nice funnel that borders some nice thick bedding area. Real thick stuff mixed with random small openings. Lots of trails crisscrossing through there. Picked a tree that is close to a nice trail intersection. We will give it a week and see what these Force 10s can do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Trail camera's.....which one?
Adkhunter1590 replied to maytom's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
Dang! I thought I saw some example night pics that looked alright. But maybe I mixed them up with other ones I was looking at. Trailcampro review was so good which was the only reason I even decided to try it out. I just checked the UPS tracking and looks like it might be here this afternoon. If so I'll be putting it out tonight and will know within a couple days on how well it does and doesn't work. What's your pricing on the Brownings? If this spypoint ends up being as bad as you say it will be going back and I'll be in need of another browning ASAP! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Another vote for browning. I love my strike force. Takes great pics and videos are pretty good too. Phade...what's your take on the Spypoint Force 10s? I just ordered one the other day and should be here tmw. I was about to order another browning from trailcampro but I came across the force 10 and they seemed to have great things to say about it so I decided to give it a shot. Hoping it's just as good as my browning. If not I'll send it back within the 90 days I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
new to trail cams... have some questions
Adkhunter1590 replied to bugsNbows's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
My vote is for the iPad. I use one of the phone adapters and it works good. Each time I pull cards from all my cams I'll have at least 2000 pics to go through and I don't find it time consuming or laborious using the phone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Yep! I'm just east of medusa but it's a stone throw away. Gifford Rd if you know the area much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ya I'm pretty sure the cub tried ripping my camera down. The strap was torn apart and camera was dangling from the cable lock I have on it. Hoping they leave it alone from here out and don't damage it too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's the exact area I was attempting to describe! Lol. My parents live right outside Clarksville on 443 on 18 acres and my old man had one hell of a nice buck on a camera there last year but never saw him the couple times he hunted. There is some impressive bucks running around for sure. If I didn't have the land behind my house to hunt I'd be knocking on a lot of doors down in that area! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's cool stuff right there! I was hoping to get a pic of mine standing like that but no luck yet. I will say I am now a little worried about my kids playing around outside with a cub around and momma in tow. I don't think there will be a encounter as they are supervised 99.9% of the time....but kids are kids and do slip out of your eye sight on those dang powerwheels down the trail into the woods for a minute before your running down after them. Hopefully the Bears keep their distance from the house. We shall find out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ya I'm in Albany county. Just barely. Greene county is just a half mile down the road. I too have heard of a lot of bears around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yamaha 700 Kodiak input
Adkhunter1590 replied to Fletch's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
My buddy picked up one of those new kodiaks this spring. Seems to run good. Only downfall is that unless you get the LE edition it doesn't have a front locking differential and he claims it's a huge disappointment to not have it. He says getting stuck is shockingly easy without it and has had to use the winch a few times to get himself out. I was almost gonna go with a new Honda rubicon 500 a couple months ago when I was looking but ended up going with a Kawasaki brute force 750 for only $100 more than the Honda. All that extra power for a hundred bucks seemed worth it to me. So far the brute force has been awesome. Great riding machine and holy hell does it have power. Forget about getting stuck or not having the power to pull something! I used to have a 500 Honda and while the power as adequate, it wasn't a beast by any means. These brute forces sure do have some snot and make riding really fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Awesome! I'm just happy to have some around for once. Been hoping to get one for a nice rug Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glad your getting settled in. Start taking evening rides around the area. Head west from 9w and cruise around the back roads in that area and you will see some awesome bucks. There's a lot of big boys running around in that area. Tough to get permission to hunt anywhere down there though. My buddy lives right up the road from you and has for many years and still can't get permission on much of anything. But guys I know who do have it shoot some big boys every year. Good luck on the new land! I'm on new land this year as well. Just bought this house late November last year so I never got a chance to hunt it or even this general area. Trying to get food plots established to help bring them in and hold them. And from what I'm seeing for bucks in fields all around me I'm excited. Cams have been showing a few decent bucks. But they all seemed to have disappeared the last week. I'm sure they will be back though. That's about how many stands I'm looking to have up this year. I have 1 of 3 up so far and am currently shopping around online for some new ones. Thinking of trying out those Hawk stands....they look pretty nice for a good price. Anyone hanging stands yet in prep for this season? I put my first one up today. I'm getting more and more excited with every passing day. Went for a drive around the area last night with my buddy and I couldn't believe it. We saw 6 good bucks all together in a alfalfa field around 730 last night. There were 2 that are already 130 inches. I couldn't believe my eyes. Only about 3/4 of a mile down the road from my house too! I've never seen that many bucks together in NY before. Or that many big ones for that matter! Out west was a little different but it gets my blood pumping to see that here! Anyways....who else is getting those stands up!? Anyone else getting much bear action on camera? I just pulled a card last night and found a momma and cub on my cam! The cam was actually almost torn off the tree too...my cable lock kept it on there but pics make it look like the cub tore up the strap and was messing around with it. Here's a few pics I thought were cool! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Checked one of my cams quick behind the house. Here's two of my fawns. Glad to see they are still around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
