  1. That's too bad. He's a nice buck and would have probably been a real beauty this fall. Unfortunately, if he survives with that injury he will probably grow a goofy looking left side on his rack. I'd get out there and look for those horns, I wouldn't think he's traveling too far with that injury.
  2. Trying being the key word! Guessing the score is easier than trying to guess the age from a pic.
  3. #7 112 net 2.5 years old #8 140 net typical 5.5 years old.....beautiful buck that probably didn't score well because of deductions
  4. I don't think so. It looks normal to me. The deer is much larger than my other mounts. This pic shows how much wider his shoulders are compared to my other deer.
  5. I'll be going down in April with the wife and kids. I don't think I'll have room in the car for my golf clubs, let alone my bow! Do you have an address for this place? Maybe I'll swing by and check it out anyhow. I'm not really a beach guy!
  6. Its pretty tough scoring from just a picture. You cant get a real good idea of the mass on a rack until you see it in person.
  7. Its been more than 5 days, so heres the answer to buck #2 169 gross NT 161 net NT 147 net Typical
  8. If worse comes to worse, I have a friend that lives in Michigan that will get ammo for me!
  9. My 20 foot ladder stands weight between 80-100 pounds. I strap them to a deer cart and make my son drag them into the woods. Looks like a Rickshaw going through the woods!
  10. I'd like to see some pics/videos from the HD cam. Might have to get one
  11. Anyone else? C'mon, there must be more guys on here who've had their deer officially scored/aged. Post em up for us to guess the score.
  12. Why thank him at all if you're gonna vote him out? I think Doc has a point. Cuomo is gonna spend this next year trying to suck up to those he pissed off so he can buy their vote. Its not gonna work on me! That douchebag will never see a vote from me.
  13. I have the 20 foot ladder stands from Big Game. Its the one with the double railing on the ladder. I highly recommend them. Solid and comfortable. If you put them in the right tree you don't need to worry about the deer spotting you. I had a 6 point just about walk into the ladder on mine while I was in it this bow season.
  14. Buck#2 OK, heres my only one I've had officially scored. He's the one in the middle on the group pic. He has 14 scoreable points. See if you can find em all and give your best guess to gross score. I've already posted his net score on here so even if you remember that, I never gave a gross score. Never had him aged but taxidermist said at least 4.5, but I coulda already guessed that!
  15. I guess 128 for buck #1 Age is a tough one without seeing the whole body but I guess 3.5
  16. Cant go wrong with Easton Arrows, as long as they are the proper spine
  17. I've had guys with climbers come in and set up right next to me, so that's not gonna make a difference. Chances are, if theres that many stands in there he would go hunt another one of them if you were set up there already if he had any common courtesy. If it were me, I would just find somewhere else to hunt, I try to hunt where others don't. If I'm scouting an area and I see signs that its being hunted, I just move on to another area. Try to find the spot in the park where there isn't a treestand, that's where the big old smart deer will be, especially if theres thick cover. BTW, I know of one public area in NY that allows you to leave a stand from Sept1 till Feb1 as long as your name and address is on it.
