Where do you see too many doe permits given out in New York's AR zones? I believe that Pa had their own agenda and it wasn't ARs. Ars were just something for their problem to be blamed on.

I once took a doe with a rifle that had her back leg blown off at the knee. It was heeled over and I didnt notice till I walked up to her.

I never said to have it in your area. I have always stated that it works cause I see the results in my area, an area that needed it. You cant change The fact that I have been seeing more and bigger deer since these ARs were introduced. You are providing information on Mississippi for one, not even NY.

Steve, I wanted proof not an opinion. Your posting opinions on mississippi, but have no idea how its really working here in NY cause you are basing your opinion off of an opinion. Never a fact. You dont know how it was in before ARs in the areas that have it and it would be hard for someone that doesnt know how it was to say wether or not it is working today.

Actually I was reading about their ARs and they are still continueing. Nowhere in anything I read yesterday did I see anything that refered to hygrading or that the deer are getting smaller. Look at magnolia records and see how many big bucks come from every county. http://www.mdwfp.com/level2/Wildlife/Game/Deer/magnoliarecords/search.asp Besides opinions there is no proof of any of hygrading. Find something thats not an opinion on it and I will gladly read it.

Im not for or against crossbows, but if they are going to be legal why do they feel they only belong in the gun season. Since they are in the gun season why cant the handicapped, elderly or anyone 17 and under use them? Makes no sense to legalize crossbows only to stick them in the rifle season where they are far more inferior to the rifle. How many people would actually take that disadvantage into the woods when you have the option of taking a rifle or shotgun instead. I would be pissed too. Every tree would have a posted sign and a big fat sign in front for the DEC to see when they cruise by.

First I will thank you for fighting for all of or freedoms. Freedom doesnt mean you do as you please. There are regulations on hunting and changing a regulation for the better of hunting isnt going to hurt anyone. It actually puts more excitement into the woods. Hunting these days is a recreation not survival.

I doubt he is starving cause hes not able to get a deer. It is my right to shoot what the DEC allows. And that is the problem is. The DEC allows you to shoot all these animals and thats why people want and like ARs. Just because it is limiting some of the yearling bucks from being shot. Once the DEC gets it straight is when we all could have a better hunt and shoot what we want with a better limit on how many we can take. The only reason ARs from what I see are not accepted by some is because of the word restriction. That puts the fear in alot of hunters. Just so you guys know. In the last 5 years I have taken only 3 bucks and no does, mainly by choice. You want to send me your tags, I'll take them and throw them in the garbage. Never had the need for more tags. Never had the need to fill all, Believe me by choice. There is nothing wrong with shooting more deer cause the law allows it. Thats why it needs to change.

You are Brown its Down. No questioning that. So I should let them go for you. Tell me what is wrong with shooting a doe with the bow or muzzleloader and another buck with the rifle. The DEC (Your God) says its ok. The ones with all the proof and all the scientific data right? Let some of the little ones walk steve and one day you would be able to harvest something without spots! Even though I'm not in it for the meat, I still eat what I have and never have any left over by the beginning of next season

How do you educate this guy^^^^^^^^? Thats what I'm talking about. It has to be mandatory for any regulation to work in areas that need regulation.

This is another thing you are not understanding. That the DEC also gives you other tags to fill. I will be doing nothing wrong taking another deer. I could of shot a doe 6 times already but didnt want to tag out so early in the season cause I enjoy being out there. Next week If I have a good opportunity on a doe I will take it if not muzzle loader. Rifle season I normally never shoot. Not because I dont see bucks But I have normally let them go cause they have been yearlings or smaller than the buck I have shot during bow. I am doing nothing illegal if I shoot 2 more deer, but I normally dont cause there is no need for it. I'm not there for the meat, I'm there for the excitement.
