    Between my all day sit yesterday and only seeing a fawn and only having 2 deer on cam over night, I’m not very hopeful. Setting the bar REALLY LOW today (like on the ground), so any deer seen will exceed my expectations! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The rain slowed and it was nice and calm when I got here. Got the umbrella up just in time, as it started to pour!! Then the high winds kicked in!! OMG!! Rain is “supposed” to stop in the next couple of hours. Slowing down (again) now…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Preparing for an all day sit. Heavy rain overnight, but slowed to a light rain now. Supposed to stop completely by 9 or 10am. I’ve had good luck after a long period of high wind and heavy rain. Had our wind yesterday and heavy rain last night. By the looks of my cam pics, they didn’t move much at all last night, hopefully they’ll be eager to get on their feet after this rain.     No desire to shoot him. He’s a home body and is the buck we see the most. I talked to an adjoining landowner and he said he’s been around for 3-4 years and he passes him up several times a year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Just had a little bit excitement. Had a borderline shooter with his mouth wide open come busting across a swamp ~50 yards from me. He hung a right, instead of a left, so no shot. Looked like he might have been chasing and was trying to take a short cut to intercept a doe. Might not sound like much, but it’s the most excitement I’ve had in my previous 28 hunts!     First time catching the piebald on his feet this late in the morning. He was laying down in an open field yesterday morning guarding a feeding doe. Hopefully this is a good sign that bucks are finally starting to move in my area!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
