    Ended up seeing 8 does tonight in the neighbors field, NO bucks to be seen!! I've gotten a few trail cam pics of other does, but no bucks with them or trailing!! The bucks here just aren't rutting yet!!

    So, I just scanned back through this thread. It doesn't look like anyone has shot a mature buck in the past 5-6 days? Forgive me if I missed someone. That's surprising! I haven't been seeing squat, on hunts or on cam. Still waiting for the switch to flip here in 8H.....

    The piebald buck ran into the field, hit the does trail, and started searching frantically! He trailed the doe in the wrong direction though! LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Real feel temp 33 degrees. Can certainly tell this is the lowest temp it’s been yet this season. Brrrrr! Cams were pretty dead again last night… just the piebald and small 7pt. No does. Just don’t get it…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    As I was looking for something yesterday, I came across an almost full box of Triple 7 pellets. I switched to Blackhorn 209 a couple years ago, so I have no use for the T7 pellets. If you can use them, they're yours, free of charge. I'm in Canandaigua.

    You're not alone! My cams have all but flatlined for the past week! I'm talking just a single doe and a little 7pt keeping them going! TERRIBLE!! I've been seeing up to 13 does in my neighbors field (no hunting), but not a buck to be seen with them! Hard to believe with all of this talk of chasing going on in some areas... it'll happen one of these days! I'll be ready when they are though!! LOL

    Same type of experience! A couple years ago, I saw some .22 ammo on the shelf that I wanted. The woman behind the counter asked to see my pistol permit! I told her the ammo was for my .22 rifle. She said she couldn't sell me the ammo, unless she saw my pistol permit. I again told her it wasn't for a pistol, it was for my .22 rifle. She stood her ground, then I asked to see the manager and he rang me up no questions asked! Scary to think, we have politicians just as ignorant about guns and ammo that make gun laws!

    I've had those days! I carry a fanny pack in October, but once the calendar flips to November, I pull out the backpack (a well stocked backpack) just for these kind of days! Enjoy it while you can!!

    I can see the neighbors field from my stand (no hunting there). Seems like all the does bed in the thicket on the other side. I saw 9 does in his field last night and 6 this morning, but no bucks to be seen! Weird! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cell cams were dead last night! 10 cell cams, but not 1 pic of a deer!! Plenty of coyotes though to confirm the cams are working properly. Was hard to get out of bed this morning, but gotta keep the faith… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
