Cabin Fever

Amazing place! My camp was ~5 miles from there. Would drive by and see monster bucks, huge bull elk, and wild boar inside the fence. When I was in college, we went there to electro-shock some of his ponds and give them a report. You really have to see it to believe it!

So back to Larry’s original question, I take it no one has personally used Wyoming County Whitetail Scents before?? I’m on the fence whether to try or not. Next week should be a great time to test it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just watched this a few minutes ago! Felt bad for the guy, as I know how that feels. Interesting that buck was killed 3.1 miles away as the crow flys! Are you still having issues with this? I was bored earlier and found a solution that worked for me. While logged into the forum on Tapatalk, whenever I clicked on "Messages" at the bottom, it would say "No Messages", even though I had received a notification of a new PM. Instead, click "Notifications" and you can click on a notification for a PM that you received and it will display the PM. Give it a shot...

On my way out this morning, I noticed a fresh scrape that I knew wasn't there yesterday when I walked by. First scrape I've seen this year! Ironically, I had a cam facing that exact spot! Got home and checked the SD card and there's the piebald making the scrape! He conveniently made the scrape 20 yards from a stand for me too! Hopefully it'll draw more attention for me! LOL The pic right before his was of a doe hauling ass by, so he must have been harassing her!

I’ve saw 6 deer by 7:30! WOW! That’s huge for me, considering I’ve only seen 2 in my previous 8 hunts! The 3 single does were running, so I assume being harassed by bucks. I actually got to lay eyes on the piebald too! No interest in shooting him, but grunted to him for a photo op and had him come to 30 yards. Today kicks off my vacation.... my well-deserved-vacation, might I add! In the next 33 days, I'm only working 3 days! My area isn't showing squat for deer activity, let alone rut activity yet, on cam or from the stand. Been out 8 times so far, but have only seen 2 deer! My 10 cell cams have barely had a pulse in the past 10 days or so. Before that, they were on fire with several big bucks on cam moving through, probably taking inventory. Hunting in a funnel between ag fields, so when things heat up, I should be in the money when bucks are cruising. Just going on faith this year, as this is my first year hunting this property during bow. Hunt Hard or Go Home!!

Had a huge lone doe walk by at 12 yards at 5:30. Just don’t have many does around, so I swore I wouldn’t shoot any this year. Sure was having some bad thoughts though! LOL Not today Satan, not today… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can I ask how you kill them, without them spraying? I have a couple of cage traps in my yard as we speak, as I have 2 skunks in my yard quite often that I want to get rid of. I was a NWCO for years, but I always gave them the swimming test, but yours don't look wet... The last couple I caught, I took in the woods and popped with a .22, but of course they always seem to spray when I do that! I always cover my cage traps, so it contains the spray itself, but it still stinks like hell! Maybe I'll just see if @Lawdwaz will just stop by and do it for me since he can't smell for shit right now anyways.?
