    I'm not 100% sure, but I had either this buck or another one that looks very similar at 22 yards this morning. I drew back twice on him, but it was such a gloomy and dreary morning, my sight pin wasn't illuminated very well. It wasn't worth the risk of a poor shot, so I let down and watched him walk away. I grunted, bleated, and rattled a little later to see if I could get him to come back in, but no such luck!

    I haven't seen a mature doe in the past week! Seen several fawns by themselves, wandering aimlessly. Private property and no other hunters, so the does aren't getting whacked either. Just saw another one wander by at 4:15. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

    Saw one of the 11pts that I'm after! Stepped out at 22 yards, broadside in the wide open. I drew back, but I guess my pin was,t gathering much light (gloomy morning). Decided to let him walk, rather than risking a poor shot.... Oh well, it was cool to finally lay eyes on him. Been getting pics of him all summer. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

    Not gonna lie, while sitting in my office today day dreaming, I envisioned this hunt being a while lot more eventful.     Been raining hard here since 4pm. Suppose to get .75" by midnight, then another ~3" tomorrow. Not suppose to stop until late Monday morning. I'll be snuggled up next to momma tomorrow morning!!

    Pretty windy here in 8F. Saw a big buck get hit last night on my way home from my evening hunt. Rain moving in around 3pm, but haven't heard how heavy. That'll decide if I hunt this evening or not... Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

    Checked cams today before hunting this afternoon. Can't believe the amount of daytime activity in the past 2 days! Probably got pics of 7-8 different bucks! Prior to this, 99% of my pics have been at night. Finally!! I saw 2 single fawns wandering around aimlessly. Things are progressing!

    Trying a brand new set up tonight. Have active scrapes within range. Just need these %&$@#*× bucks to start moving during the day! 99% of my pics are at night.
