I'll be out no matter what. I missed a nice 10 a few yrs back just after a long period of rain. Once the rain let's up its time to eat. Plus I have the wifey's ok for both mornings.....so it could be the end of days and i would be out there.

To me its like driving and the car is the woods. It's illegal to drink while driving in a car so it should be in the woods.....i mean you have a weapon that can kill. That shit should wait until after the hunt........

I'm not certain of this but tho.k I remember it from the old forum. I believe its legal to have with you but you cant be above the legal limit to drive.....guys please chime in here as well. Either way its not a good idea....I would stay far away from him.

I forget what the numbers were and the demographic.....but claims made for deer collision was north of a billion dollars.....hence why people question why I hunt ( depending on the situation) I tell them it to save them money on their car insurance

My parents are away and there dog (a shorthair) got skunked last night. Poor woman who is watching the dog probably is going crazy right now. Any tips on how to get rid of the smell? I know the tomatoe paste or sauce one...but do you guys know anything better? Poor dog probably can't even take being in the basement with herself.....

In 18 years i have never been tempted by a head shot....maybe it was just the way i was raised (heart and lung) or my luck in the woods....but in thinking about this, i don;t think i would take a head on or a side shot. I would think that the odds are better from behind? From behind, you have a flatter skull?? and potentially the spine where as the side and front the slug (i'm in shotgun only) has the ability to ricocht off the skull? I have seen a lot of deer with both arrows and broadhead in the skull (for whatever reason) and it seems like that is tough to get thru unless the angle is right....?

I'm have an addiction to this site! I have about a 2 hour commute to and from work.....I used to read the paper on the train to stay up with current events. Now that I got a smart phone all I do is read the posts on here.......its getting worse as the season is approaching! Now I have no clue what's going on in the world..(thanks John.....haha). How many of you are in the same boat? I gotta give John lots of credit, this site is great!

I know a guy that took 4 shots at a deer while it was running....one of them hit the jaw. He took the first 2 shots while running, after tracking the deer he had two follow ups, one in the arse....and finally put the deer down after about 1000 yards...He should have never taken the first 2 shots in my opinion (say what you will) Needless to say the deer was a mess and I will no longer hunt with this fellow...

As much as the weather is crazy right now, I think we r gonna have another rough winter this year......

People just don't understand what it means to us....could you believe a client scheduled a 4 pm conference call this Friday...........like I am going to be able to focus on the meeting....
