That is where I thought you were talking about...was it very crowded when you were there?
-
What orchard are you talking about..?

I have a summit viper and love it...easy to climb, pack and comforatable to site in. I have sat all day many times. The only draw back is that if the deer is too close sometime you may have trouble with the bow limb hitting the upper bar (But i don;t mind as when the gun season comes that make an awesome rest).

I hunt rain or shine....but if its raining I will probably pass the shots. I just like being out there. A few years ago I sat through what seemed like a monsoon for about an hour (becuase I had permission to go from the wife....and by golly I was going). Turns out as soon as the rain stopped I had a doe in front of me and then a monster 10pt can charging in....dam branch jump out and stole my arrow otherwise that deer was dead. Always like being in the woods right after a rain....the woods seem to come alive.

I know Culver....just seems as though people that have a full carry should be able to carry as they can pretty much anywhere else...and since you go through all the background checks you should be an upstanding individual enough not to use it in an improper manner. I just think about myself when I walk into the woods in the dark (and we now have bear here)....I know they are most likely more scared of us they we are of them but I would still feel safer if I were allowed to carry with a bow. (mind you, I don;t have a pistol or permitt....plans are in the works though)

So yes it is illegal to carry a handgun with a bow....but if you have a full carry permit can you? I don;t see a problem with it as long as you are not using it and I think that would be pretty easy to determine if ever questioned, no?

Glad your OK...that why i went out and bought the HSS lines...always attached to the tree these days (Sometimes too much...haha)

Same deer....on the side by side you can make out the little sticker on the crab claw. -
You sure you live in western NY....I woke up and thought coffee was burning...then my 4 yr old comes running in, jumps on my bed and yells...Daddy, there is a "stunk" outside trying to get me! He tried to spray me but the house caught it! Her window was open just slightly which masked most of the spell but when I went outside....damn!

I am not a fan of Snakes in general!!! They can all be departed if you ask me! Two years ago I was walking up a trail in Nov ( a nice warm day when the sun was warming up the trail) and there layed a gardner snake (spelling??) Well, I jumped back and put the gun on it as it scared the daylights out of me...I almost shot it out of fear..and it was only a foot long! I got in my tree stand as fast as possible after that and didn't want to come down!

What do you guys do with them? Anything? I have a few that live under my shed and annoy the hell out of me. Can they be shot any time of the year?
-
There are no deer farms down here that I know of and I have never seen a tagged deer. Honestly, if I saw one I would shoot it as I would think it was part of a study. I read about one a few years back down here, a doe was shot with a collar on..I think it turned out she was 12 years old. So I would shoot and after, if I identified it to be someones investment I would contact them. However I would still want the mount to look at......a story is a story afterall. (And yes, I would tell it as it is)
-
Shoot it an mount it.....forget the game farm....and the record books! It would be very nice to look at on my wall regardless....alhough i may have to get a bigger wall!

Elmer, so you are camo clad?
