  1. I love the open shot tree stand. I have been using it for years. My big complaint with it is the seat cushion. I dont know if I installed it correctly or not. Hasn't been a problem but the seat us getting older now and is slipping through the front bar. Doe anybody have the same issues. Did I install the seat wrong.? I am going weave rope or webbing I think to fix the problem.

If it pokes a hole in the bottom of the Indian ocean won't his hunting spot get flooded!!
  4. I was hunting up north during Northern zone gun. Gun wasn't open south yet but bow was. The guy I went with had a headlight out and i had been lucky enough to fill my buck tag. on the way down to my house we got pulled over do to the headlight issue. The cop walks up looks in the back sees the deer and asks what we are doing with a deer its not huntjng season yet did we hit it. We said no it is gun in northern zone and bow in southern. He looked at us like we were lying. A cop didn't even know the regs. He went back to the cruiser and must have checked everything and felt dumb cause we got off with no ticket. It amazes me how many people think they know rules and really dont.
  5. Throw in some thermals with the wind and then the fun really begins. Things can seem one way then 20 minutes alter its the complete opposite. The fun of the hill towns!!!
  6. There are a bunch of guys on here that shoot traditional so if you have questions don't be afraid to ask. We will try to help the best we can without totally confusing you!! LOl
  7. There is a lot to tuning a bow. As said before 500 spine arrows should work for you with 125 grain broadheads. Make sure your field tips are the same weight. From there you can make it simple or it can be very intricate tuning. The way I did my bow (I also shoot a 3 piece takedown) is I figured out what grain/type broadhead I wanted and then worked the arrow around that. Here's a link to watch.
  8. That one might be a little tough in the pan. You will get your fiber though!!
  9. Found this lady dead on one of the properties I hunt. Not a shot that should have been taken in my opinion! She has been there a day or to too.
  10. I cut mine also but I put chartreuse for high vis and then put a reflective one on for finding at night if something goes wrong. Works pretty good and like you said it makes them go farther. Your arrows are looking great.
  11. Good luck hope you all get wall hangers!
  12. No ram but the were 15 yards just staring at us! The whitetails out there did the same thing. Just wandered by with no care. They knew we weren't hunting them!!
  13. Montana 2 weeks ago! Coffee at 6800' elev. I think the thinair make it taste better!!
  14. just got back from Montana. I only shipped my arrows home because they wouldn't fit on my carry-on and guess what I don't have!!!!!!
  15. I like the middle one with no training wheels!!!
  16. If you are looking for an all around sharpener. I have the worksharp system works awesome for broadheads. I use a 3 sided jewl stick. It had rough medium and fine side all in one. Works good too.
  17. Big fan of Simmons Sharks. They leave great blood trail. Look at the woodsman elites too. Both great cut on contact and strong heads
