    Windy and rainy for sure. Maybe i will catch a big dude moving around.

    Another theory might be a neighbor doesn't move around much opening day but Sunday gets out of a stand and checks a certain bedding area and bumps something to you guys. Either way you at least know that you should be ready for action around 1000 Sunday morning of opener.

    Thats the special time. 10-2. I always hear alot of people say it. I always figured alot of people get up and are heading out at 10 and heading in at 2. Maybe the extra motion gets bucks up or bumped and then they start cruising around then. Then at 2 they start to get bumped again feel the pressure and lay up tight. Just a theory.

    I know a guy who lost 2 bugle tube and a pair of crocs, bear spray and an arrow in the mountains of Montana! Crazy day but good times

    Lol I know this pain. Last year this was the way it was for me. Just don't give up. Just have to be there at the right time.

    I have found that when a deer stops bleeding they are usually within 100 yards. I call it the last 100 yards. I dont know why but I have had many deer stop bleeding then 100 yards later they are dead. Usually a straight line from last blood. Sucks, sorry to hear. Redemption on Saturday.

    I hunted alot of public and still do. I only hunt out of a climber. I have the summit open shot. First thing is get new straps makes a huge difference. After awhile the 18 pounds is normal. Only way to really hide your stand if you want to.

    I have tge kitchen aid meat grinder attachment. Works well but I almost burned it out last year. Looking to upgrade to something that's just a grinder. What have you guys had success with?

    Hard to tell at the shot. So much going on and being focused. Give it some time then search. Go slow.

    Don't give up that easy. We all beat ourselves up on the woulda coulda shoulda. That whole senerio could have been the best deer of your life if he kept walking. Thats the great thing about hunting you never know whats going to happen.. We will never know why deer always seem to hang up when you don't want them too. Sixth sense maybe. One thing is for sure that deer is still in there running does waiting to give you another opportunity!

    This why I love cut on contact broadheads. The arrow bounced around in there when he was running and just kept on cutting.

    Absolutely, the deer are on the move right now. Just after I shot my wife said she saw a huge buck crossing 443 near Clarksville. I was hunting 4j yesterday and there was a ton of movement down there too.
