  1. http://www.timesunion.com/default/article/The-yowl-of-the-suburbs-612669.php Heres the link.
  2. I just got a 13 week old lab that I am traing. He is doing awsome I have him on the whistle comands already. He sits and stays for me even while I pick up the dummies. He is alread 27.5 pounds I think I am going to have a big dog.
  3. Cool thanks for the info. I was just on the website and it looks like they still sell it. I am going to see if I can't find it locally.
  4. Go to the times union newspaper and look search for (the yowl of the suburbs). Flip through the pics and check out the one with the coyotes and the deer. cool shot and I guess they are hunting in packs now!!
  5. Lots of state land in the area gets some maps and have some fun. Good luck this year
  6. If it is a members only club how do you get in?? It seems like it would be a small club not like clifton park or colonie.
  7. Gthphtm Hey do you use the snow seal stuff or the silicone? I have snow seal for my boots and that would be cheaper than the camp dry stuff.
  8. I shoot traditional archery. I am shooting a martin vision 50 @ 29. What do you guys shoot??
  9. First question is compound or traditional. If you are shooting tradtional vanes are a no go. They kick the arrow pretty good. I myself shoot feathers when it is raining I hold my hand over the feather to keep them dry (I never bow hunt in hard rain.) I also have a cat quiver that keeps them dry when not on the bow. I sometime will just leave them in there and grab them when needed. Lots of extra motion though. If you go to 3rivers archery and search feather dust. You should find a powder that they clam is sentless and will keep your feathers dry. I know of people using the stuff to keep your tent dry also on feathers they say it works great. Only problem is you have to coat them way in advance then let them sit around and desmell. It isn't a quick fix if you don't have any ready just before you go out to hunt.
  10. hunting rabbits are some of the best hours in the woods. I can't wait till deer season is over to get my buds out again. wierd that isn't how the pic looks on my puter.
  11. I was wondering if anybody had any info on this club. The little sign I drive by says it does archery but I was wondering if they had any gun ranges?
  12. By this poll I see that there are many more people for than against. The problem is when it comes down the end of the year many people shoot the next deer to fill a tag. I know people that say I don't shoot small ones then I see a pic at the end of the year and it is a spike. Stick to your guns/bows. If you want AR's do it for yourself don't make everybody have to abid by your rules. That is why we live in america (land of the free). We should be able to decide what we want to do year to year. If we need meat and a spike walks by first we as a hunting group should be able to harvest it if we want to. Those small bucks can be such a bigger trophy than a 10 or 12 point deer or vise versa. I just think that we should leave it up to each individual.
  13. 12 FOOT CAN BE A LONG WAYS DOWN. i ALWAYS HAVE MYSELF TEATHERED TO THE TREE. I DON'T WANT ANYBODY SEARCHING FOR ME AND FINDING MY GREAT HUNTING SPOT. ;D
  14. I was told that You have to becarfull with insurence and the safe. It falls under something with the fireproofing and insurence covering the safe because of it. I was told you have to go after the safe company or something. Just a thought when looking for a safe. I was also told for fire rating ou have to judge how long it would take the fire department to get their. The longer it takes the higher the fire rating. Hope it helps.
  15. I jumped over here I have been on Empirhunting.com but that site disappeared. I was told there was an explaination here somewhere. Well anyway I hope this site is as interesting as the other one. Always like to share stories, triumphs, and disapointments. Look forward to the discusions.
