Dutchess deer and bear hunting is restricted to shotgun only. Other than the 22lr you already have and if you plan on deeer hunting Dutchess, I would also favor a pump shotgun combo.....Rem 870/ Mossberg 500 or similar flavor. Bird barrel would allow you to branch out into small game and turkey if you wanted.

Typical 29 ga from lumber yard on order will be around $3 a lineal foot. Depending where you are sometimes you can find farm type suppliers running specials that could be less.....but I haven't looked around recent at whats about.

Me too.... NH skidsteer with a 9' plow blade.....250' of driveway, one trip down and one back up, a few passes for the parking area, and I'm done. Bad enough to shovel the one set of stairs.

I'm divided up for 3 sections, so some years I'll take advantage of a warm spell and use one area.Many years we are slowing down or done when most upstate are just getting really just getting going. Have about a third with Dr Tim's check valves......but not enough time with them to see if they're any better. My buddy is taking the year off and I will only tap enough for what I want. Thought about selling extra sap, but no one here returned any phone calls last year and one that did had no money.....at least he was honest. LOL So I dumped all the tanks and pulled the taps early. But its different when you are just playing around and not running a business.

This one of my odd parts steam table pan evaporators. Mostly made out of scrap collected here and there with some new brick and insulation blanket lining....

300 +/- taps on gravity tubing. Friend has a 30"x6' Leader wood fired, he buys my sap. I have a small hobby that'll boil around 15 gal an hour or so when I want to mess around. I usually just boil early sap as I like the light grade. Did 6 or 7 gallons last year.

+1. Been mostly outside all winter doing major renovation on good sized home. Lots of changes both structural and cosmetic. Framing is mostly wrapped up outside now. Pay is steady, material is mostly there when I need it. Its paying for a hunting trip so I don't really care how cold it is. LOL

If its a new service to the property, the power company is responcible to supply one road crossing pole that they install. You'll need to put in an application that'll be on the companies web-site for what you are doing (size of service etc). You can get a site meeting with a rep where you can talk about options of locations and what you'll need on your end.

Should have left a long time ago. Next time property values are trending up, I'm cashing out and down the road. Should have sold last time they were up and sales good; won't make that mistake again.
