I got that this afternoon from one of my employees "Is it worth it?"....... You tell me.

I'm going to climb real high on the wife's aggravation list this weekend, going to try and get 3 out of 4 days in the woods.

Yeah, this. I need to man up this Friday and put in some loooooong sits. Been doing 4.5 hours, not getting the job done.

No offer was given. Nobody said a word to me about it until the deal was done. Granted, I wasn't about to hand over 7 grand anyways. Down the road I might be in a position to buy the land outright, when they've run themselves completely out of money.

I'd agree with that sentiment. UA wicks like a boss but after an hour of still Ness you're cold. My Cabela's fleece base layer is really hard to get into the stand without getting a mild sweat, but stays pretty warm. If it's butt cold, say sub-20, it's not an issue as long you don't over exert. Been looking at KUIU pelaton 145 stuff, just tapped out on the hunting budget for this year right now.

Uncle leased the property out on base camp, because they can't afford the taxes and are grasping for money. Not the guys who leased it's fault, but they have exclusive hunting rights there now. Haven't met them yet, we shall see. Supposedly they're only hunting opening weekend for gun, and muzzleloader. Granted I still have in excess of 230 acres of mine, and the neighbors 90 to hunt, but that land is one of my favorite places in the world to be. In terms of just deer hunting I probably should be hunting elsewhere, but it's been more less my own private play ground for 25+ years now, so I'm pretty pissed.

Knowing me, I'll get one chance at a medium sized buck, and cock it up. Probably sometime in the next week. Of course my options decreased by 200 acres or so yesterday, and now I gotta pull and move 4 stands this weekend.

Skunked again this afternoon, even though there was 4 new rubs right next to the stand. Weird. Maybe its a morning stand. Also found out my uncle by marriage leased out my favorite spots, no warning. Some days.... Looks like I'll be pulling 4 stands this weekend.

Moved a stand, fueling up before heading g out again. Didn't see anything other than eyes in the fields on the way in this morning.

I'm getting that feeling, because they ain't in the oaks!

Well it's dead here, think it's time to get up and move this stand a little further east. Sun feels good.

Ugh. I don't like setting up the alarm for 230. It hurts. Heading out for the white oaks again in the morning.

Pants with fleece base layer did pretty well today. Little chilly in the AM, but I realized I had the vent zippers open. Ultra down pants being delivered on Saturday, day after I'm gonna REALLY want them.

Nada this afternoon

Congratulations to everybody knocking em down! Got my dad all set up and dialed in with the crossbow, he's headed to the rolls Royce stand for the after. Spot I moved the old ladder stand to is fricking sweet. Did a little hand sawing and a little pole saw snipping, only took an hour. 6 new rubs within a hundred yards of it since last weekend. Can't think of a good reason not to just sneak back down there and sit.
