I am thinking that the punishment for trespassing will be a carbon arrow with a grim reaper broadhead. I really hope to enforce this punishment. ;D

Well not much on the camera this time, just this guy again.

These deer are located at the Old Seneca Army Depot in Romulus New York. You can google them. This is a rare herd of about 300 white deer. There is a fence around the whole thing, but they do get out and wander. I had a deer on my property 2 years ago, which is about 8 miles from there. If you are a retired Veteran or in the Military, I believe you can apply for a special hunt there.

Great pictures. You have the same problem as me, all the nice bucks in my pictures are after dark too.

What is wrong with this little guy
HectorBuckBuster replied to Dakota Dog's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
I have several pictures in the last 2 weeks with deer getting their winter coat. I also noticed my black lab is doing the same thing. It kind odd worries me they are switching their coats this early. Might be a early winter or colder winter. At this rate, I am thinking leaves will be pretty thin when bow seasons starts on Oct 16th . -
Sweet pictures. I noticed all the deer are pretty much facing the same way, and see the ground is dug up. Is there something on the ground there to attract the deer in?

School Taxes what do you pay ?
HectorBuckBuster replied to HectorBuckBuster's topic in General Chit Chat
To get Ag Assessed you need $10,000 worth of farm income in one year, or you need to have the land farmed for atleast 3 years I believe, then you have to have a 5 year lease with a farmer. You can also fence it and make a pasture and get horses, and get ag assessed. Why do you think you see the huge houses with land, then get horses. -
Here is a video of the bears guarding the crop. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2010/08/ap_video_13_bears_surround_pol.html

School Taxes what do you pay ?
HectorBuckBuster replied to HectorBuckBuster's topic in General Chit Chat
Ok, I just looked up some info and I was wrong about the Amish. I did find out where they do pay school taxes. I not sure how some of those Amish people can afford to own all that land and pay the kind of taxes. It looks like the average Amish familys farm is around 60 - 100 acre farms, and their taxes run between $6000 - $10,000 a year. So you looks at it this way, their kids don't even goto the local school, and these familys are paying for it still. -

GunDeck, I am guessing your brother in laws lives in Seneca Falls - Waterloo Area. A friends dad has a house on like .34 acres on Cayuga Lake with 200 Foot Lake Frontage and his taxes are $10,000 a year between school and property. You can look up some School Taxes in NY State on this site http://www.taxlookup.net/ -

So Elmer you are paying less then me, it figured out to $16.50 per $1000 on your land. Wow you have 1 acre that they say is worth $100,000 they say my per acre is only $1200 dollars per acre apprasied value. -
Is is me or is there something white on the ground and maybe a mineral block in the picture too. Seems like there must be something that is bringing all them deer to that spot, as there are alot of trees around, but what food source would they be eating in the woods right now, not much just in the fields eating. This is PA, it might be legal their to put out bait before season. I like trying to find just the right spot for my trailcam and seeing what I get.It is almost like hunting with out the kill.

One report I read said it had a tag on it.

This years rate was $17.34 per $1000 of assessed value just on school taxes, I think property taxes run about $7.00 be $1000 . So we are talking about $25 per $1000 for 2010 taxes. -
I had a old 6 volt battery and cut it open because I heard this, and there was no AA batteries in there.I can't even remmeber what was in there but no AA in there.

The 16 MB card would be awesome if all you do is take video and no pictures -
Well just got my school taxes in the mail. Just got a bill for around $2000 for my property and this is with it being agicultured assessed. This is on 180 acres of land. This is just farm land no houses or barns of any kind on it.

If you find a good location you don't need bait to get nice pictures.Check out the trail cam sections for lots of great pictures.I just posted one the other day, of a awesome 10 point. There is a old apple tree there and the deer just seem to love that spot, even when there are no apples left.I think it maybe a community licking post. -
Starter Trail Cam Recommendations?
HectorBuckBuster replied to UpStateRedNeck's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
I have a few Moultie 40 which work ok, I also have a couple Stealth Cams I430IR which is a very nice cam they are around $200 each (got them on a deal at Bass Pro one day for $99 each) only thing I do not like is trigger speed on any of them so far.I have not found a trail cam that has a Instant trigger, all have a 3-5 sec delay or more. The Stealth cam list the time, moon phase and temp on the picture.
