Hey biggamefish, What u said is so true. When I drive home and flying to there roost,I was watching them in a parking lot,the next day they change there course. That's why when hunting them, you have to keep moving every so often. That's why I like to hunt them,fo rthe challenge...

When I go crow hunting, I always get hawks to fly in. They think it's easy prey. They will sit there for a long time and just watch me. When I put the crow and hawk fight call on, it's wild to watch. The crows will be flying all around me with the hawk in the middle of them squawking. They will never attack each other during this time either. Of course I can't shoot because of the hawk, But I like to watch and learn from this.

I heard that the pigs got loose from a game preserve and that they multiplyed. This is just what I heard. I do know that there are feral hogs roaming around..

I hunt them because there tough to get in and are smart. Yes you can eat them. Its a lot of fun to do and its all about being outside hunting. They are a problem in some areas. We need to keep them in check as well...I'm all for year round hunting these birds.

Anyone Wanna Take a Newbie Out?
martin replied to FunForFree33's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Speaking of pheasants. When I went out last week coyote hunting,I put up a pheasant as I was setting up my caller. I started to fly into the woods only to get stuck and fly back out. It landed 10 ft next to me. I had my light on it making sure if it took off,it wasn't going to fly into me. It finally did walk off. Just keep at it. I like to walk real slow about 15 - 20 ft and wait a minute then proceed. Thet get real nervous and will fly when close. I do the same for partridge. -
Sorry to hear about your ordeal RangerClay. It does stink. I would have to agree with Steve863 about the dirt bags comming out. This is a scary time of year for all deer hunters. Were there is good, there is bad. There are a lot of problems during this time and with the goverment cutting staff,it will only be worse. There is not much we can do except watch our backs and hope for the best. Some people just do not care and will go thru great lenghts to get a deer or to steal. Its a part of life we have to live with. I wish you all a successful and safe deer season.

I didn't get any. But I always have a good time. I did call one in last week but we saw each other at the same time. It stopped down the trail and turned but decided not to shoot and educate him. Hunting varments are tough but its the challenge I like. Anytime you guys want to go, send me a pm and I'm there. There is a great site to go on and learn more. It's called "bark at the moon" and it's a coyote club.

5 years in the navy.Had a great time. Now work in the maintenance dept. of a hospital. Just do whatever they tell me to do or just find stuff to do on my own. Also travel to different hospitals to test and repair fire / smoke dampers. Also do a little bit of fire caulking when need be..

Rechargeable Spotlights - Suggestions?
martin replied to burmjohn's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I just ordered the predator light. It can fit into your pocket, charge last forever. It has 3 different levels of light. The led light is all you need, not a red cover. It does cost $300 but by the time you get batteries and purchase different lights for what ever reason, you will have exceeded that amount...Check it out.. -
Thats funny..Hope she doesn't ask. My girly got her license and hope to get her to go as well.. just bought the predator light and cannot wait to get it..

Hello, Deer work really well. When you see a deer on the side of the road, have the police tag it so you can take it. Then tie the deer's back legs with something strong, like metal wire. The yote's will try to drag the deer off to there liking. If you can get high in a tree and wait, then your good to go. Watch the smell,of course..Enjoy your pictures,You will see many animals..Marty For more info: Visit "barkatthemoon".com its a coyote web site based out of rochester,ny..great info and a bunch of nice guys..if you have any problems, let me know....

Yes you can hunt with rifles in rifle areas..But region 3 in dutchess county has a no rifle law till after deer season...I could be wrong, but not taking a chance...This is what a dec officer said...can we clarify this ???
