    I can dial down my slate pretty quiet. My nephew didn't hear me calling and he was 40 feet away. When you need to call quiet , a slate is best IMO. Glass , I have a problem with. When you think you're calling quiet , cut that volume in half. Them birds can hear pretty spectacular. I'd say volume is key in calling.

    Row 34 in Boston. Quite the walk but worth it. Bacon cheddar melt , caramelized onions , fried oysters , tugarashi aioli and cole slaw. Good shoe string fries too

    Was pretty excited to see 2 bald eagles along the Mohawk River today. Forgot how big they really are. One was pretty close overhead.

    Another vote for stocking and wading shoes. I have Orvis what I'll call thin waders Even with long underwear they get cold steelhead fishing and muskrat trapping Felt bottoms are key too. Watched my buddy slide at Scoby hill dam. 25 feet from 3 feet of water to wader fillers. He's a great swimmer , I cannot. I got a little nervous watching it
