do you have a foxpro?set it up on your side,use the remote and blast coyote howls all morning on opening day lol ,but seriously be sure to check the bolts and cables on your stands often,hate to think it could happen,but i have heard of the (hatfields+macoys)doing that to each other ,hope it works out for you, -

i think i've lost 4 or 5 deer with my bow,maybe 2 with gun,been bow hunting for about 28,yrs gun 30.any loss is a bummer and very dep .ressing,it's going to happen sooner or later(unfortunatley)as long as you give it your best to find them,and take ethical shots,to try and minimize losses

gonna be sitting next to my son for his first try at stand hunting ,should be fun,have a buddy stand in a nice hardwoods overlookig a big thicket that the bucks always circle crusing for does,hope he gets a crack at one of the big boys that we didnt get during archery

it's very hard to hold out,but also can be very rewarding,as mentioned by 6x6,youve got alot of seson to fill the freezer,and if that basket 6,or 8 makes next yr you may be watching him,either way good luck!!
