    11/16 am 35 Out in the Bowl stand out back for 2 hours. Got a good dusting of heavy wet snow and thought for sure something would move but thought wrong. Also wore the wrong water sucking outfit lol.

    I would choose a rifle every time, whether a 30-30 up to a 7mm Mag. Depends on where and what type of hunting condition I am in. The shotgun is an inferior tool imho. That said I have lived in a shotgun county my whole life. I will use a muzzleloader 95% of the season as my TC Triumph is a tack driving sob and can shoot out to 150+ easy. When I do use the slugs it is my Ithaca Deerslayer in 20 because shooting a 12 gauge just sucks if your shooting it a bunch.

    11/15 pm 40 Snuck out for the last hour in the field edge stand. Had the broken unicorn buck come out at 5:02. He walked by at 30 yards. Now I just need a doe to do that!

    11/14 pm 45 Hunted the deep Hole stand for 2 hours. Very light rain for last 45 minutes. Of course on way out jump one right under the outer Hole stand.

    11/14 am 38 Sat out back in the Duke. Saw one cross an opening too my left but never saw it’s head. I had a busted up small buck pass a camera a bit down that makes me think it was him. Also saw my fisher for the first time this year. Sat 3 hours then went and trimmed out a gun lane by the tower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    11/13 am 38 Sat for 2.5 hours in the outer Hole stand. Very quiet morning. Did not see a thing. 11/13 pm 42 Hit my ground blind on state land over the swamp. Figured there would be deer moving after the rain. Again nada. Sat 2 hours.

    You should be able to smell gut on the arrow. If it is yea give it 8-12 hours. And if you got rain maybe call a tracking dog. It will be a dead deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    11/12 pm 54 Hit my ground set above the swamp on state. Sat 3 hours and at 4 heard crashing and saw a couple flashes of a chase way back in the swamp. Nothing ever came out. Just at dark a few turkeys roosted 70-80 yards away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
