Glad you are doing good Zem!! I have had 3 stones, none I am sure as big as that since I did not go to ER. First one I thought I was dying. I laid on the living room floor for 8 hours and could not move. Second one I had driving to a meeting in another state. 3 hours laying in the back seat of the car in pain. The last one was another out of towner at the hotel 5 hours laying in bed in pain. I have done a lot of stupid or dangerous things to hurt myself. I have broken ribs, nose, teeth, fingers, ankle with a 7 inch steel plate, perforated my spleen. Been in half a dozen car wrecks including a two car head on total and nothing has come close to the pain those little beeatches cause!!

11/17 am 28 Hit the deep hole stand for 2 hours this morn. It was chilly with a heavy frost. My bro was up top in his stand. Neither of us saw or even heard a thing. The last few days have seemed like the second day of gun season! I am sure the bucks are locked up and that does not help but jeesh this is slow!

Dead here too for days now.

I shoot a field tip into the ground. Unfortunately the other day got a rock. Was using one of the arrows that came with the bow though not my customs so no huge loss I got 2 more.

11/16 am 40 Out in the far stand behind the house for 2 hours. This stand has just gone dead and the whole section is not seeing the usual activity. Food source change I would imagine. I have only control over a little 40 acres of this 700 acre block so they could be using another area.

I usually visit Old Forge at least once a year. There are always deer around town. Before the feeding laws everyone used to feed the deer there. But now I would say a lot more feeding is being done by the tourists than the locals. I am sure there as well as just about everywhere a few bend any laws they want though and give us hunters a black eye. I would imagine hunting right outside of that area would be weird. I would look to be farther away for a true big woods hunt.

11/15 pm 58 Back down in the deep hole stand for 2.5 hours. Big zip. Cam has only had little buck hitting scrape the last week. The 3 bigger one not at all.

11/15 am 38 Out for 3.5 hours in the deep hole stand. Around 9 I had a button pop outa air in front of me. I was passing some time playing sudoku in the phone and looked up and he is 35 yards out in lane. I glass him and see the buttons. He is a fat one hope to see him a few years down the road. He is eating apples and then rubs his head in a licking branch. I then catch movement coming in from out front left in the thick stuff. Looks like 2 a doe and fawn coming right at him. He hears them and moves they spook and turn and jog off then he chases after them. Thanks Bucky for running off the doe! Neither BIL or Bro saw anything.

I am still not sure where I'll be going yet!

40 and still here in 7A Deer seem to be locked up if I had to make a guess on last few days pics and movement

You can do that I think if you are not subjecting the gun to a lotta weather and temp changes. The residue in the barrel will suck moisture if you are out all day in changing weather and temps and that will do it no good in quick order. I got a 22 mag that may get cleaned once a year but it does not make it past the porch much. Reminding yotes the lawn ain't for them. Or target shooting.

Yea I have those 3 the 22 pistol and my sons 22 and 410 all to clean tonight. With a beer or two and some football on!

Went out and checked the sights on the 30-30, the 20 gauge and the ML. All dead on. Now just got back in the tree it's a bit warm at 58.

Screwing around playin soduko on phone look up and jeesh a deer right there! Man how'd he get there must have been bedded right back there. Big button I want to see him in 4 years! He's rubbing the licking branch then chowin apples. Then I see deer comin in from the right headed right to the button but back in the thick. I think a doe and fawn. He spooks them they turn and split and he chases after them. Stupid button I wanted that doe! Lol

I have a buck and doe already grow and I am still out here. I need another doe for me hungry![emoji41]

11/14 pm 38 Out back in the far stand for 2 hours. Nice night but real quiet. I did not even see a squirrel!

11/13 pm Got out for 1.5 hours in the hole stand. It was pretty chilly out but the wind finally eased up. No deer though.

Way to go bud! That's a nice buck! Hope you have an arrow left to shoot a doe now!

Man it's chilly out here in 7A! Have not been in this set in a week man I will be picking up a lot of branches off trail on way out.
