  8. Oh I'm not giving up guys!! I just miss the last week of October and the first week of November real bad!! I went out 12/9 down to the hole for a couple hours and a big zip. I pulled the card and a few flats and a 4 point a lot at night. Neither big boy in over a week. 12/10 out behind the house for a couple hours in the am. Just saw a bunch of hens again. This afternoon my dad came over and I walked him back to a brush blind. He is 78, 79 in a few days, and has had a rough 12-18 months and does not get around well now. So I walked him out with his cane and all and got him set up. I came back and worked for a bit then went out and hit the thick crap all around him trying to kick up a deer to him but just nothing. I have a feeling this might have been his last deer watch, I hope not, but we had fun talking "old times" and he enjoyed the 50+ temps.
  9. I will say I had probably equal number of bucks on cam this year as usual. Does were a bit down and almost all my does had only one fawn. I attribute that to the hard winter. With less doe around I would have expected to see more buck movement but that was not the case. Gun season always sucks for my team. Opening weekend is about all we can hope to see real movement after that the deer are dug in usually. This opener was a real bust and not sure why. In my personal opinion I do not think coyotes take that many deer. I do think bears will kill a lot more fawns than a coyote ever thought of. So more bears in a lot of your areas, a real bad winter, warm, lots of food and hunters do not move anymore. Those are my reasons. H
  10. Just had a nice blonde yote come I'm behind me. He busted me right before I could get around enough to get a shot on him
  11. 46 out Turkey noise all over from that busted group Hope they call in a deer lol
  12. On a conf call around 4pm and dog wants to go out. Open up the back door not paying any attention. She takes off bat outa hell so I look and flippin turkeys running and flying everywhere! Bashing into trees, heading in every different direction. Musta been about the 40 of them I saw a few days ago. It was a sight!
  13. 32 and calm took a couple days off to recharge Hoping to at least see a deer would be a start! Lol
  14. Way to go! She will be good eating for sure!
  15. Saturday just hunted the morning for 4 hours with a big zip, again. Sunday Hunted a few hours in the hole and saw zip, Then BIL and I went to Howland Island for afternoon to look at some different trees. No deer sighted. It has now been over a week since I have seen a deer and even more for my brothers. I took this morning off to recharge, my bro was out back all he saw was a fisher. I am losing motivation.
  16. Out in 8f this afternoon needed to look at something different! The squirrels have already come to visit now maybe a little luck and a deer might be so kind!
  17. Nothing moving here in 7 but squirrels still little foggy
  18. I just think there is a lot of food in the woods still. Rut over and deer not really searching for food. That and I think a few more did not make it through last winter than initially thought. As well as a lot of my does only had one fawn this year which I believe is a result of the hard winter.
