    Got in and set up by 6:20....20 degrees warmer than yesterday morning at 49 and a bit breezy...it's about that time...come on deer

    So I decided to do another grunt/rattle sequence so I stand up give a quick look around and start...as I turned in my stand trying to make sound like the deer are moving I'm like that looks like a deer. Bring up the glass...yup...big lone doe looking right at me....she didn't blow out of there but new something was up....that was at 10 am...as I was typing this is had a momma and fawn come down the top of the ridge in front of me to my left about 11 o'clock...at about 20 yds momma cuts right in front of me and feeds to my right less than 10 yds away...ozonics pointed at about 2oclock....they had to have fed through the ozone..when momma gets to about 3 she notices me and is staring right at me...fawn still about 2 o'clock...I am frozen and I am trying not to even blink as she is testing the wind...After what seemed like a forever staredown she decided I was nothing and moved on with fawn in tow...they are about 50 yds behind me...

    Caught movement at my 2 o'clock got the glass up to see a small buck moving through...need some more leaves off the trees. Threw everything at him to try to get him closer...grunt tube...bleat can...light rattle...wanted no part of any of it....at least I can say I saw one today

    Grow, I would take a morning like that every time I hunted even if it meant never getting a deer. Enjoying wildlife that doesn't know you are there is the best part of sitting on stand...

    Well I ditched work for an hour and went to field and stream. I looked at a lot of jackets...seriously thought about just dropping the $$ on a Sitka and being done with it but I didn't. I didn't see what was so great about the scent lock and under armor for the money. I ended up getting an insulated field and stream jacket that is wind proof and waterproof. Seems like it is quiet and has room for plenty of layers if I need them under it. I will put it in my pack and wear it when I get to the stand if I need it. It was $80...we will see how it works out...Seems like it will do what I was looking to achieve. Thanks for the recommendations guys...

    All I do is stand sit so I do get cold...I have not been very good at still hunting....See a lot of tails..I am wearing pants not bibs. I have good layering...both under armor and merino wool. I like the under armor better. Then I have some polyester fleece but any wind seems like it goes right through me with the coat I have. It looks like there are a lot of non name brand jackets for way less than $100....Guide Gear, Habit, Field and Stream were the few that I was looking at. Its hard to tell if they are any good looking online. I am going to try and run to the field and stream store and look around today. If I have to spend more money I am not opposed to doing so to be warm.

    I need a new coat for sitting in my treestand. Right now I have a great coat for when it is warm and not too windy and I have a pair of coveralls for when it is really cold. I need something for in between. I can layer under the coat I have now and make that work but I feel like I have so many layers on I can't move. Last Sunday was 50+ degrees and the wind was blowing and I was freezing because I didn't want to wear a million layers. Looking for something thin but insulated and wind proof for sure. I would like to spend $100 or less if that is possible. Any suggestions?

    Live from the office.....Congrats on the deer rebel....looks like a great mature doe! Sure wish I was in a treestand but at least I can follow what is going on in the woods on here....

    But the reason we have such a terrible candidate in Trump is because Republicans are so sick of Republicans not doing what Republicans should be doing......(if you can follow that) It is their fault the base was so mad that we made Trump the candidate. If they don't learn a lesson from this they never will. I don't love Trump but how anybody can walk in a voting both and pull the lever for the most corrupt criminal to ever run for the presidency I will never understand.....I believe a lot of Republicans in Washington want Hillary to win. Its the only way to protect the boys club and the lining of the pockets that they all do...

    When I started bow hunting I bought Rage just because that what I figured was the best...I hated them....Never shot a deer with one but every time I would look at the head the blades would be hanging out. I went with the Kill Zones and they have been great! The blades never come apart and I am 3 for 3 on deer with them....I have no idea if they are the best but they have worked great for me...
