I hunt a ton of state land mostly for gun so a bit different. One thing I can say is if he's got a stand in there he's probably going to hunt it often. Most guys won't put that kind of time into state land. If you hunt it often and run into him again maybe grab some lunch togeter sometime as both could have information to help each other and work up tactics to be successful on state land. If I walk in on someone on state land I do what I can to get away from them and also try to do it in a way that could push them a deer. I'm at 57 or so been awhile since I scaled it. Always been the same for me I see no reason to go any higher. I like to be able to draw easily when cold and layered up or tired or just feeling a little crappy and yet still in my stand. Buddy put his at 70 plus and we had a conversation about it. This is his first year bowhunting tried to warn him about cold and layers said he's been shooting with layers on but nothing is like the late October early Nov 30 degree mornings after sitting in stand for few hrs having a deer walk in and being stiff and trying to draw. Damn that's a shame i was there when I was shopping around for a new bow then I bought my htx they let me shoot any bow I wanted and even changed the draw and weight to my spec I was impressed. Sounds like something has changed in last 2 years and that's not good. Imo I would try and go back wven call before hand to ensure owner will be there and explain this to him. Maybe his help is doing this behind his back and will appreciate the feedback and even make it right with you. But I'm other hand if he's full of excuses it would be a refund and no return for me as well. Sucks when you try to support the smaller shops and this is what happened. I bleated in a 5 point last year early October 10am or so with my ritual bleat when I hit the stand came in and hit his scrape on a mission I believe calling can be very effective early season before the rut Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I put mine on grain scale last year with neighbor and his real rages. All mine went within 5 grains his were all perfect . Mine are 100 percent steel (machinist welder by trade) I've ordered 3 sets so far all the same can't complain. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I actually plan on trying to bow hunt it early season this year for first time. We will see how it goes. It should be mentioned to guys who haven't hunted it or don't know there are areas of the park that are off limits to hunting. Get a map at the police station in the park when you sign in and make sure you are in the clear. Also there is areas where rifle is allowed now so double check that as well. I compared the real hypos with the chinadermics not much of a difference weights way close enough for me and fly just fine they do rattle a little bit but I use 2lb or so test fishing line with a wrap around blades tied and it solves that issue.
