  1. If you don't mind a silver finish this is about $35 less than anybody else, free shipping code applies too. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bushnell174-Trophy-XLT-Riflescope/720967.uts
  2. Always nice to see ! I had a flock move through an area I was deer hunting one evening last month. They made so much noise in the leaves I thought a group of deer must be heading toward me.Got an adrenaline boost from that.
  3. I have a Summit Viper (aluminum) climber.I love it.The seat is so comfortable I bought the Summit tree seat that uses the same seat as the climber.I can sit comfortably in either for hours. Also I think the Viper is not bad to set up and climb with although any climber can get old if hunting several days in a row.
  4. I too was bitten by the black friday bug, I picked up a 700 ADL SS in .270 with the cheap scope at Dick's for $400 + tax after a $50 Remington rebate. The devil made me do it !
  5. Yes that is disgusting. Too many lazy people in all walks of life these days.I leave signs up at work that read-" your mother isn't here to clean up after you" but in this case the only thing that can be done is to try and bury or remove the mess.
  6. Early mornings is when I see coyotes.Shot one a couple of years ago while deer hunting.I had one at about 10 yds. this year during early bow season but it was quickly gone.Had one come in one spring morning while turkey hunting, I had just stood up to go home
  7. I will be taking my nephew there in the morning,I hope you guys left a few for us !
  8. Here is a link to the brief details. http://13wham.com//news/features/top-stories/stories/doctor-charged-theft-yard-signs-7648.shtml
  9. I have heard stories of people claiming deer out in the field but I never knew people stole hanging deer. I would be furious as I imagine the victim here is.I would want to move .
  10. Would you have the same opinion if it had not been windy and the stand/ tree had not been giving you a ride ? I never cared for a couple of cheap ladder stands I have owned but a hang on with ladder sticks was very nice when I had one set up.
  11. My old fashioned Woolrich red and black wool (of course) hunting pants with lightweight thermals underneath, lots of layers on top and a knit neck warmer to block the wind.Hand warmers in several pockets if on stand.Don't need them as much if walking. Also a knit orange facemask-hat.
  12. I work with a knife aficionado (nut), he likes Victorinox.Be careful when you wash the knives too, I nicked my finger washing several knives the other night after butchering.Didn't see one under the soap suds.
  13. Man what a magnificent buck.Unfortunate it didn't end the way you were hoping.Nice to see these pictures regardless.
  14. I took this buck yesterday morning from state land.Pretty sure my cousin pushed it to me as he walked through a high weed field and had 16 deer at different times jump up. 110 lbs dressed out. Only saw one small deer the last 5 times I have been out and the state land I hunted was very busy so I took what came along. We had fun.
  15. New York Hillbilly, it is bow season at Letchworth until Sat. Letchworth is 17 miles long, not all open to hunting. It is surrounded by agriculture from dairy farms, hardwoods and the Genesee river runs through it.Also there is an antler restriction in place hunting in the park.
  16. Welcome to one of the best physical and spiritual pastimes on the planet.(But you already know that).
  17. Twice I had a fox run under me in my climber this bow season,I enjoy seeing them.
  18. Congratulations buckordoe that is an awesome buck !
  19. I have tears in my eyes laughing reading this thread ! This has to be like being abducted by aliens for that fawn.
