  1. And you added absolutely nothing. Thanks
  2. Absolutely there is room for everyone's opinion
  3. truth is the trade show industry is wasteful and inefficient and it shouldn't survive this.
  4. Sucks to see WSF show and OVIs cancelled. P&Y convention is still on but I really wonder how long...
  5. The court order if it was granted has 60 day sunset. If it was to be extended, it needs to be resubmitted and reviewed by the court before it expires. If it isnt then the subject would be released. In this case, the law as written has several clauses that would even supersede a court injunction for release making the 60 day detainment a moot point. In any case the state cannot detain you without due process.
  6. I under that that. However if you read it it's pretty clear. A court order for detention needs to first be applied for with 3 or 5 business days. Then If the order is accepted then it has to be renewed and reinstated every 90 days till its rectified. That's also the current codified law we have in regards to mental hygiene. That is a far cry from what being toss around as .. " FU your detained for three month. " What this law lays out is due process. quite frankly I dont agree that the law even needed, however even so that doesn't mean I should miss stating what it says.
  7. Even what you wrote states that court order has to be obtained with in three business day or they are released. Can you tell me how this is any different that current codified law that's been on the books for decades? It isnt. This law is worded almost the same as &9.27 and &9.39
  8. As someone who has processed HUNDREDS of MHL subjects, that isnt always the case. In short it depends.. just like it will depend for this law. Regardless, MHLs been on the books for decades and quite frankly read almost identical to this new needlessly proposed law, yet there is no out rage. The only outrage now comes from partisan rancor.
  9. Considering that the bill doesn't say that..... https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2021/A416
  10. This isn't much different the current MHL that been on the books for the last 40 years. Police determine or decide that your a danger to yourself or others they can and do take you into possession and hand you over to a a designated psychiatric center. You get a 72 hour vacation. Where has the outrage been for the last 40 years??
  11. Lamb casings are a pain. But worth the trouble, especially for whole rings for summer grilling. After stuffing few thousand pounds of them it gets easier....
  12. Exactly You couldn't find a dumber population sample except maybe on a hunting forum
  13. That's sweet buck anyplace, especially in NY
  14. I hate mounting cams up high looking down, I fell like it makes a more narrow window. That said with some of the scumbags that we have to share the woods with, I have no choice on some properties. Had one cam stolen this year during the gun season , my fault because I should have pulled it from there as I dont hunt the gun season. I have an idea who the douche bag is as seen a his truck near by and he most likely is sneaking in, Local too, even worse. In any case. I bring two sticks with me. The bottom has an aider on in. I mount the cam at about 10 feet or so. I have not has anybody climb up and take one yet, or for that matter notice them.
  15. Pro tip, pre freeze for a couple hours on baking sheet before you vac seal it. Better seal and an more elegant looking finished product. Were is this taking place?
  16. Had mine on sunday, except for a sore arm...nothing else. Go back for the booster on the 21st.
  17. Forget big bucks, how about we get to the point where our buck harvest isnt 80% 1.5 year old bucks..
  18. What it looks like an functions like is gun. The dirty little secret is that nobody is stopping anyone from bow hunting, Go buy a bow and hunt the entire bow season. Or sit your ass and wait for it to dumbed down enough, then you could use a crossbow, because it's now as easy as using your gun.
  19. Gun hunters in New York are greedy they have one of the longest seasons in the country and it's not enough for them. That's the reason for pushing crossbows in the the archery season, hell if they could break out their 06 in archery they would.
  20. We are hoping for snow for sure. The area we are in will have some elevation so that should help. Fingers crossed for fresh snow every night of the hunt. I am not hunting with Babine. Funny though you mentioned them because I tried to book this years hunt with them. At the time he wouldn't commit because he was unsure if the guide that does his bow hunts would be available for this. We both thought my second choice made more sense for a bow hunt. Hopefully it comes though...speaking of which I need to start getting back in shape. My buddy and I also had bear hunt scheduled with babine for this spring but decided to cancel of travel restrictions, instead I will spend some time deer hunting with him on his farm in KY.
  21. With any luck's I will have a few bow hunts next year. I am Skipping my usual cous/mule deer hunt next month and going on cat hunt with my buddy in WY. August is wide open, i will have apps out for limited entry lope tags in NV, Utah, and AZ as well early NV or AZ elk tags depending on the dates. Providing travel to Canada is good to go, and since I had my vax, with luck some I will he in BC mid September for a mountain goat hunt. First two weeks of October should find me with an elk tag in Montana, as I have about an 80% chance of drawing a tag I been putting in for. November I will be in Ky and Ks. Planning on December home unless I draw a late season Nevada tag. Then next Jan it will be cous in mexico or AZ. Everything can change though if I draw a sheep tag in say Alaska, AZ, montana, Idaho, WY, Co, NV or Utah .....
