A) Its "rubles" not "rubbles. : You are accusing her of being from Russia...that would be "Motherland," not "Fatherland." : You come across as a racist horse's ass. -

It depends when it was.....and if you could use real bows during it, too. -

You are being obtuse. You have fabricated this notion that the only reason to exclude crossbows is because they hurt bowhunters, and continue to demand to know how they would hurt bowhunters. But......that is not the only reason that one might oppose crossbow intrusion. And, in fact, it is not the primary reason that I gave. Yet you demand an answer for a motive that you created for me. Take a deep breath......and try a different angle. Might I suggest you actually read the reasons that I have put forth, and discuss those, instead of just making crap up on your own? -

That's really clever...you clipped everything else off to get the quote you wanted. See, you just ignored all of the true explanation because it didn't match your agenda.....really smart. Wow... : BTW...can YOU say cannibal? Because that is what crossbows do to bowhunting....they cannabalize bowhunters. There are 3 crossbow hunters for every 2 bowhunters in OH....imagine how much stronger bowhunting would be if all of the physically able crossbowers used a bow instead of a crossbow. In VA, they lost 14,000 bowhunters in the first 2 years of crossbow legalization. Why? They took up the crossbow instead. Crossbow growth comes at the expense of bowhunting. It is ironic that you claim opponents to be cannabilistic when the proof is already evident that crossbows cannabilize bowhunters. -

Doesn't mean I should lay down and let others work to violate my principles. BTW....if you want string guns for older hunters.....propose a bill that would allow them for older hunters. If you want string guns available for younger hunters.....propose a bill that would allow their use until the age of 16, or 18 or whatever. It sounds warm and fuzzy......but its not the reality. The reality is the vast majority of string gun users will be physically capable men who are looking to gain an advantage by hunting with a crossbow. At least be honest about the target audience. -

I do not need to explain that to you, or anyone. Let's start simply....we can agrees that guns should not be allowed in bowseason, that they do not belong there. Why? We can devise many reasons to exclude them, many or most or maybe even all of which have nothing to do with how it would effect us as bowhunters. That line of logic extends to crossbows, as well, although some of the reasons disappear (like method of propulsion, for example.) Yet there are still plenty of reasons that make crossbows fundamentally different from vertical bows....first and foremost the need to draw the bow when its time to shoot. They are functionally different....you may feel the differences are not important enough to matter. I disagree. Still......it is irrelevant whether there is a negative impact or not. You can keep trying to prove some meaningless point about impact......but that has nothing to do with principle. They simply do not belong in bowseason, as surely as a gun does not belong in bow season. -

First off.....that was not my "principle." Do not dare tell me what my principles are, or assign them to me. Talk about arrogance! Better look again before you just shoot off your mouth. States like Alabama, even your adored Ohio, still have separate definitions of "bow" and "crossbow." They allow them to be used during archery season....they do not pretend that a crossbow is actually a bow. Even a child could tell the difference...LMAO. Because I never said the sky would fall....that is simply you putting words into my mouth again, which is a clear sign of a desparate and losing debater. I say that crossbows do not belong in bow season.....whether there is a negative repercussion or not. Just like guns don't belong in bow season, or like centerfires don't belong in MZ season. They simply do not belong....and no amount of whimpering on your part changes the principle of the matter. Suck it up and play by the rules...or don't play at all. -

The "principle" we are discussing is that you must use a bow to bowhunt. A bow, legally defined as "long, recurve, or compound" by NYS. You are whining that we should change the rules and definitions to allow crossbows. That would violate the very principles of bowhunting. So......I am opposed to crossbows in bow season based upon principle. -
Stop already. Baiting is cheating.

LOL If the other states jumped off a bridge, would you jump, too? Just because it is legal in other states doesn't make it the right thing to do. Prostitution is legal in NV.....you want to legalize it here? That seems awfully "liberal." LMFAO -

No. Bows are hand drawn and hand held, by definition. Crossbows do not fit the definition of a bow and should not be allowed into a bow season. If you want to create a season for shoulder mounted string guns, mechanically locked into a perpetually loaded position....by all means, do that. We should not have to change the rules, and the very definitions, because folks too lazy to learn with legal equipment whine and cry. Its principle. -

^^^^^Shame on you! > Typical crossbow pusher......attack the messenger. I don't want people who act like this in bowseason.....we should keep crossbows illegal. -

Why stop there? If crossbows are good because they reduce the chance of lost game, thens guns should be even better. : The truth is that there are some trad bowhunters that never lose a deer, and there are some crossbow hunters that never find one. It has little to do with the weapon they are shooting and far more to do with their judgement on when they should and should not shoot. BTW....there is no evidence that a crossbow is "more lethal" than a bow of any persuasion. -

Right. It was a joke. Can't put one past you, dude. : -
Oh, I get it. I just don't agree that it is the most effective (or even AN effective) way to deal with the public, without who's support we would have NO hunting.
-
I'll give you an example. When I have a deer hanging in the garage.....I keep the door down, out of sensitivity for my suburban neighbors (none of whom hunt, all of whom are aware I hunt.) No...it wouldn't be illegal to have the door up. I have a god given right to have my deer in plain view if I want to. BUT.... it is no skin off my teeth to avoid any potential drama with the neighbors (or the neighbors' children) by simply keeping the door closed. No sense inviting trouble....and that's what Ted Nugent does.
-
You can label poor behavior as not being"politically correct," if you want..... I prefer to point out that it is poor behavior. It doesn't hurt hunters to be a little sensitive around non-hunters....in fact, it helps our image. Loud mouthed, in your face, blatantly disrepectful hunters do not help our image.
-
Stop, please. "Whackmaster?" "Kill it and grill it?" "Whack 'em and stack 'em?" He is one of the most disrespectful that I have ever seen.
-
He comes across to non-hunters as a bloodthirsty psychopath. That is not exactly how i would wish hunters to be percieved.
