  1. So where is this spot again? It seems to have slipped my memory
  2. If you have a tv with an hdmi port u can get Google chromecast for 30 bucks and stream to your tv
  3. I just ordered Sawyer Permethrin. I heard it works well.
  4. Ha ha ha I just figure it's not worth all the yelling I'd end up doing lol
  5. I watch that one too. Randy is in both of them.
  6. When I went squirrel hunting with Elmo, she told me if I catch anything she doesn't want me to cook it in the house even if it was already skinned. If I did cook it in the house I had to but seperate pots and the kids weren't allowed to eat it smh.
  7. Does anyone else have a wife that's not into or don't get the hunting lifestyle? Mine and her friends think it's just odd.
  8. Very true but some also fall under it. A 44 mag carbine isn't allowed in shotgun areas and is considered a rifle yet it's shooting a smaller projectile and roughly the same velocity. I think within the same 100 yards, a 20 gauge sabot slug is more damaging.
  9. I can understand this before dedicated slug guns but now it makes no sense to me. These new slug guns have rifled barrels (technically it's a rifle by definition, not a shotgun), are very accurate and can stretch out to 200+ yards while flinging a 50+ caliber projectile at 1800fps. These areas might as well allow "rifles" too. Do you see the allowance of "rifles" in the future?
  10. A good red dot on a 44 carbine is lethal. It's a toss up between that and my 270 for deer. Still debating which one. I'll know better once I scout and choose my hunting spot.
  11. Have any of you guys gone to www.carbontv.com ? They have a few pretty good shows that seem fairly realistic. They have one called On Your Own where this guy only hunts public lands all over the country. Some episodes he gets nothing and some he does but he shows his failures as well as success.
  12. I was in my local gun shop and I heard guys saying they threw it all around their camp. What animal does it attract?
  13. Thanks guys. From the vids I've watched, it looks almost meditative. With a wife and 3 daughters I need all the relaxation I can find lol. I do like the idea of tailoring loads to my specific needs.
  14. I've done 100 yards easy with the 44 mag. I use them like a faster more accurate replacement for iron sights.
  15. When I use mine I put a fresh battery in before I head out and leave it on the entire time I'm out. The battery life on those things are usually 1000 hours minimum
  16. Yea I loved the Henry but it just sat in the safe. It was so pretty I was scared to get it scratched lol. As for the h&r my local gun shop claimed that they have them in their off site warehouse so I should have it by Saturday. I'll see if that's really the case though.
  17. It's a Rossi 44. I had a leatherworks Long eye relief scope on it but the recoil loosened the lens. I ended up switching to a bushnell red dot.
  18. Who reloads their own ammo? What are the benefits and how hard is it to get started?
  19. 20k? Hell you can book an African safari for 3 plains game animals, flight, room and board and food for around 7k
  20. My babies lol. I just got rid of the henry though and traded it for a Savage model 11 in 270.
