  1. You're kidding right? If what you say is true.. we better start considering reassessing our right to eat fatty foods, use fertilizer, drive vehicles, own a woodstove, use a barbeque grill.... how about my right not to take a shower until the bacteria on me grows so bad that it becomes harmful to others... or not brush my teeth... all those things have been considered also to be harmful not only to the user but to other people and the environment. and last I knew.. health insurance for smokers cost the same as non-smokers so how does the company (careful because I'm a business owner) have a greater insurance expense for a smoker.. and If I didn't smoke at work and never told my employer I smoked how would he know not to hire me? Why wouldn't a person try to protect his right to do something that is entirely legal? These are the troubling points about your way of thinking... you want something for some but not for others.. you have made up YOUR mind as to what YOU deem as harmful, unhealthy, necessary, unnecessary. Some of us are fighting to keep the RIGHTS that we have already been given... you are looking for what rights you can change based on YOUR notion of what is good and what is bad.. scary how people fight harder for illegal things to become legal.. than fight to maintain the legal rights that we have had for over 200 years
  2. Just as a sidebar.. one thing I'm sure you know for sure about the land is that someone owns the land.. and that someone is not you... what makes you think that you are not trespassing? you know it isn't yours so you should ask permission first... just because you don't feel like you are trespassing doesn't mean you aren't. :
  3. Its a long standing joke that has been passed around for years.. but I so wish I was alex
  4. I guess i'm stupid then... :
  5. USMC 1982-83 Commisioned as 2nd Leu. in fall of '82.. move on to Navy flight school in Pennsicola, Fla in early '83.. was disqualified after 2 weeks for having a missing left pectoral muscle... I hid it during my entry physical and managed to keep it hidden throughout boot camp in Quantico... but a doctor finally noticed it during a routine physical at flight school and disqualified me on the spot... I was on a bus home the following morning. I spenta year trying to get a waiver through my local congressman, but to no avail. gave up after I got married in 1984
  6. I'm sure we're just imagining this... Bloomberg doesn't really want to take guns away... just illlegal guns
  7. VJP.. you are really wasting your breath on these guys.. they are not about reality or facts... they think with their hearts and not their heads... which is ok when picking a wife but not so good when faced with the real world... .. you must be exhausted from talking to the wall... because I have read every post and these guys haven't listened to a single word you have said... you can tell by their responses which have no basis as a debate.. They do however get the award for most whinning about you calling them unamerican, or announcing how your premises are so flawed.. oh and and the ever so special "you should have respect for other peoples opinions" post. No facts .. no data.. nothing about reality.. only what they think... so save your breath for someone like Doc.. who I seldom agree with but at least offers an intellectual debate and is respectful.
  8. The fact that a student had college credits when entering college says nothing about his/her preparedness for college.. I know many a college student that has flunked out with all kinds of college credits.. so that might be a flawed premise there
  9. Actually "seperation of church and state," is not explicit in the constitution. Thank you Ford... nowhere in the constitution is there anything written about separation of church and state.. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Where in that statement do you find the separation of church and state? It simply says that there be no law imposing any religion on the people or prohibiting the FREE EXCERCISE of religion..
  10. Yeah Joe was good... almost forgot about him Then there was also Curly Joe Derita
  11. yes indeed.. what they consider an open mind, they have yet to find out, is an empty mind... they have so much to learn... I hope I am dead and gone before I have to witness what is in store for this country when that generation takes over.. It will be sad to see the looks on their faces as they finally realize what they have done to America, unfortunately then it will be too late.
