  1. $98... divided by the number of days you get to deer hunt and turkey hunt.. still comes out to about $1 a day... thats a hell of a deal to do something you really enjoy.
  2. Maybe a buck , but all deer, does, bucks and fawns ruburinate on their tarsal gland so it could be a doe as well.. look at the face, it is short nosed and rounder... the body size would be deceiving this time of year because of the winter coat... the deer actually has none of the characteristics of an older 3.5 year old .. I would bet a paycheck that he or she is a yearling
  3. They are permanent... but they are restricted to the outer skin only... and do not connect to the meat at all.
  4. Has anyone seen this yet?? What a good looking pistol... big price tag though. Ithaca Gun Company announces the release of the new venerable Model 1911. Manufactured 100% right here in the USA at our factory in Upper Sandusky, OH. We’ve applied the same quality principals that go into our shotguns to this outstanding firearm. Starting with the frame and slide that are hand lapped to exacting fit for the owner that demands a precision firearm. The 1911’s will be available in the first quarter of 2011 with prices starting at $1,299.
  5. It is very rare that the tumors themselves are harmful, they are just a wart caused by a virus... other than the inconvenience they may cause if they get large enough to impair vision or movement ... the warts themselves are not toxic in any way to the deer
  6. It actually is very profound... and if you are anti constitution... then you are anti american... just like the politicians that took an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States that would rather change it to suit there own agenda towards a more global america... that way of thinking only pushes us farther away from americanism and what this country has stood for , for over 200 years... last I knew the majority of people in the US are still in favor of the constitution as written... so that would mean that any push for a change would be by a minority for a minority.. and that my friend is totally unamerican and if it walks and talks like a socialist .. it' probably a socialist. Sorry you don't like the label... but if the shoe fits.
  7. the bear was shot with a Rem 338 mag (it took 5 shots)... it had killed 3 horses, 5 cows, 13 sheep and a pen full of chickens on several different homesteads in the area.
  8. that makes sense.. I'm using the old GOEX 2f powder that costs me $24 for 16 OZ in my Hawkin... works great but dirty
  9. It's not about understanding your position.. I understand just fine.. I just don't agree with it...you want us to believe that we're the ones with our heads in the sand.. but i would rather err on the side of caution than move along thinking there is nobody trying to sabatage my gun rights... as anti gun legislations keeps making their way onto the table in Albany. I don't have to get burned more than once to realize the fire is hot
  10. Isn't that powder crazy expensive?
  11. You seem to forget that not everybody uses their guns for hunting.. some guys just like to shoot at the range.. and maybe they don't like reloading their gun every 3 shots... others own a gun for protection.. so they might want a full clip just in case... what you call common sense is just your opinion makes no sense to me... I also notice that you're one of those guys that start the name calling and sarcasm as a defense mechanism when you run out ways to explain yourself... and I also noticed you are the type that believes the "objective expert" has any more common sense than the average intelligent man wheen it comes to legislation.. so that would mean the legislators are objective experts? That in itself is not common sense!
  12. and where would you get that out of anything said on this thread?... you really need to lay of the weed man!
  13. deer fibroma is isolated to the skin only and does not affect the meat in any way.. although after looking at a bad case of fibroma I start to lose my appetite...
  14. I think he is refurring to the size of the deer on the deer fibroma page... which I didn't kill.. and I really don't know what it has to do with AR... it's a deer fibroma page fro crying out loud.. he makes absolutely no sense to me ever..
  15. Bear weighed in just under 1300 pounds and would have stood 11 ¾ feet tall on its hind legs…..
  16. this bear was shot in Alberta... someone emailed it to me
  17. I have nothing on antler restrictions there
  18. good question .. and my honest answer would be no. But I might spend a month looking for the buck that Pete shot...
  19. Stiil don't know what you're talking about ever Rocket..
  20. read my past couple posts.. thats a harvested buck... showing that kind of perseverance is what makes that a real trophy... i commend you for your effort ... I meant no disrespect... I went back and read you posts from earlier... I was just giving my personal opinion on finding a buck 6 days later if I wasn't actively looking for it... I see that wasn't the case with you.. congratulations on a real trophy and better yet a terrific hunting story.
  21. I read that earlier.. was gonna put it up to show some of the guys that say we are worrying too much about gu rights. Gun owners better wake up...
  22. Deer Fibroma.. read about it on my website under "deer diseases"
  23. Lastly I would have the buck scored and entered in the NYSBBC .. its still a great example of a record book NYS buck.. it wasn't taken illegally and should be available for furure generation of big buck lovers like myself to admire.
