  1. Ther would be too many winners...
  2. If not for the NRA there would be no NAGR... who do you think has paved the way?? You anti NRA people in NY would have nothing for the NAGR to fight for here in NY if not for the NRA.. If you aren't for the NRA you aren't really for gun rights... they have never waivered in their commitment to gun owners all over the country.. member and non-member...Mr VJP is correct when he says 95% of you non-members get a free ride when it comes to them fighting for your 2nd amendment right... NRA members have made the same commitment by helping to fund the process.. If you think the NAGR has the clout to do anything on their own as far as the good clause law is concerned without the support of the NRA.. i'm afraid you will be very disappointed... the NRA has the will to fight the anti gun people in NY they just don't have the support of NY gun owner!
  3. you could change to a recurve and try one of these bad boys on for size... cedar arrow with Zwickey 125 gr broadhead
  4. Thats ok I got a good chuckle out of it..
  5. That 6 definitely has the body characteristics of a 3.5 year old... and the beam stretches to the middle of his snout..he just MIGHT be 3.5.. just never know for sure. I will tell you he isn't 1.5
  6. yeah I'm not following the first part off your post jpcon
  7. Yeah, but you just know they will be back soon with another increase. And what are you going to do. You have 3 choices ... pay the money, hunt illegally, or quit hunting. Sounds to me like they have things pretty much their own way ..... they are definitely in the driver's seat and I think they finally have realized that. So true.. I'll pay it.. but I don't have to like it..lol
  8. Very good idea.. reporting that you weren't successful.. thats why we debate these things.. funny how I never thought of that. I guess thats why I asked the question.. very good answer
  9. Every rifle, pistol or shotgun carried by small game hunters and Fall turkey hunters. Correction good Doctuer, guns are "NOT" in bow season.... in fact "Bows are in gun season", talk about looking at things with blinders on. my family was hunting small game in oct and nov with shotguns well before there was even the thought of a bow season, yea pheasant and rabbit hunters opened the woods to bow hunters, imagine that. Now there is a point well made...!!
  10. The only reason they care about you and me is because thats where they get their paycheck..
  11. You aren't hunting areas any different than I have killed big bucks in..It takes me a split second to know if the buck is a taker... and if I can't tell right away.. he gets to live... and there is no such thing as a big ass 4 pt...not unless its a 4.5 year old 10 point with 6 points busted off
  12. Not getting the relation.. passing on yearlings and hunting over a food plot are 2 totally different things
  13. what if you didn't report because you didn't get a deer? and if you did get a deer and didn't report it how would they know?
  14. I'm not sure I get why not having a rifle would matter... everyone knows what a big buck looks like.. you'll be able to tell if he's a shooter or not.. I've been doing it a long time.. it's really not hard. Now I know your argument will be that you might be letting legal bucks that are close to the limit go because it will be hard to distinguish those bucks from a distance.. well if you can't tell then you shouldn't shoot. The next argument will be that you won't be able to fill tags easy that way... well if killing isn't what hunting is all about (like everyone keeps saying.. and I agree) then you shouldn't have a problem there either. Eventually there will be plenty of keepers around that you will have no problem identifying as legal... problem solved...
  15. I didn't mean you specifically I meant the guy who couldn't get a dmp
  16. Legit question here.. what difference would it make whether you cocked the crossbow manually or auotmatically if its cocked and locked way before you shoot it anyway... I could see the problem with it if guys were cocking the crossbows just before they shoot..but thats not the case
  17. [it is obvious that in the near future crossbows will be included in the regular bow season. As far as allowing handicapped individuals to hunt deer with firearms during bow season, that would be a mistake.] Agreed
  18. What I don't understand is if you all love hunting so much and aren't seeing deer.. why wouldn't you try someplace else.. there is a lot of state land to hunt... not to mention .. everyone complains about the lack of deer, yet all of those complaining will continue to do what ever they can to fill every tag they can get their hands on... from the same area.. year after year... I am all for guys hunting where and when and how they want.. but if you are going to continue to complain and still do the same things over and over, expecting different results.. then you get what you get...
  19. How about the guy was bold enough to wear an orange hat while pokin' around on someone elses property??
