    It sits atop a Browning A Bolt, so all told for around $800 its a rifle that will shoot better than I can and hopefully kill deer long after im gone

    Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40, I think I paid $250. Would I love to have a top of the line scope, sure, and I do see the value in quality optics. But this will do the job

    You telling us that you cant put a decent scope on a Savage or a Ruger, sight it in, and hunt NY for the rest of your life? Maybe putting six or ten rounds a year through it? A top of the line rifle is a beautiful thing but not a necessity

    My wife started calling Home Depots and finally found a generator in Henrietta and paid over the phone. I remember the "mom and pops" that we are supposed to cherish charging upwards of $2k for them while the "evil" big box store's prices never changed lol.
