Deer can handle deep snow as long as it doesn't get a crust on top, and as stated, it doesn't stretch out into April. They're built for it. The turkeys are screwed though

I saw a pair of bald eagles on grand island last week, they are awesome. I also saw a dark bird that I thought was maybe an immature bald eagle on the Niagara River, definitely wasn't a buzzard or osprey

I've taken two with the Walmart carbon express EXPS, both died in seconds. Hit em right and bears die easier than whitetails

I know a woman who spotted one in Colden and called it in, sure enough it was an escaped "pet". Same thing happened in Fort Erie not too long ago. So of course they have been spotted in NY (and Canada)

Is it a Switchback? It's not a real old Mathews it has the string stops and roller guide. You've got a nice bow there put the cash into it. My opinion of course, it's your money [emoji3]

Where are you? If you're in WNY go see Bill at Alabama Archery, he'll build you a string and cables and find you the right cam, a peep and a loop and you'll be good to go. Won't cost you nearly what you're thinking it will. That's a great rest, prongs are simple and reliable. I have the same rest only the newer version that Spot Hogg makes, they're bulletproof

there are a lot of things I'd pay higher license fees for, as long as the money goes to the right places. Right now we pay about what a round of golf with lunch costs and we get to hunt and fish for a year. And for all our complaining our hunting and fishing is pretty darned good

No doubt compliance is terrible but what more can you do to get it? They just have to adjust for that 50% and go from there for estimating

Reporting a kill is mandatory, so you already can assume unreported tags are unfilled. I'm sure they statistically adjust for non compliance
