We are up and at it. Hoping to re encounter the big buck I saw last week at 50 yards. Can’t believe it but we got the exact wind we needed for this. We moved stand in for a shooting distance. I’m newly backed up to a marsh/swamp/pond as the buck hung tight to it in the timber. Starting to feel better but still have a bit of a cough, so Ricola for the win hopefully!

I’ll gladly sit in a downpour if the last five min stop or go to a drizzle. This time it didn’t. Good thing they make bow hunting raingear! The set I have is actually called…downpour lol.

It is dumping buckets. Trying to talk my partner into calling it quits. He’s a trooper.

I can relate having had two disc injuries in season that resulted in surgeries; most recent 2019. Find the balance. People will tell you to rest all the time and anything you do beyond that is foolish. I had to have some help throughout the season from my hunting partner, but that 2019 season might be my best personal accomplishments overall. Took a piebald doe from the ground in a snowstorm with an xbow since I couldn't draw. Grinded through season and last day of regular I punched my tag on a good buck that I specifically set out to get that morning. Not my biggest, but to this day, I'm not sure anything will top that sense of accomplishment and appreciation for sticking with it. I hope you can find that balance and also heal.

We use one of those heat guns, lol. My wife owns a daycare so there is a bit of an arsenal here with that type of stuff.

I check a few times but came back normal temp. My doc is awesome. She called in a prescription two weeks ago for my wife while she was out on vacation for the week. We didn’t even ask her to, and she physically ordered it in, as our app dinged and she sent my wife a message. Beyond satisfied with her over the past 3-4 years. She will also call me out on my BS if I fail to do something/don't take action. Not that it matters too much but she is also younger than my wife and I, as we're starting to cross that threshold. It gives me just a little bit of confidence this world isn't completely screwed after my generation has gone down the road.
