  1. I hate obama's political correctness and his inability to speak of islamic terrorism. But I feel like the whole country was so misled over iraq that when obama was running in 2008 and one of the few brave enough to have voted against that invasion i thought hell, sign me up. Let's do this. And eight years later, the fact he has yet to embroil the country in another--frankly treasonous--adventure somewhere, costing blood and treasure, is why for me Obama could never have been as bad a president as Bush. I differ with him ideologically in virtually every way, but bush was incompetent, negligent, and IMO criminal. That's why I consider him to be one of the country's worst presidents ever. I'm glad trump won and I'm sick to death of progressives. But, i still hold a special place in my heart for scorn for Bush over starting the iraq war.
  2. That sucks. Also sucks about the light. Please everybody, get a dash cam. You can get a good one for $70 on amazon and never have to have that discussion with anybody about who did what when or what state a light was in.
  3. Nice vid and cool channel, he has a lot of cool inventions like this. Also a pump action oreo shooter.
  4. Depends how much knowledge they had about the lies being knowingly told. The public was clearly misled, and there is no denying that. It's a demonstrable fact: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-09-06-poll-iraq_x.htm Congress was as well, though anybody who voted on it and has a substantially more in dept knowledge about the scam being laid should be charged also. I'm sad that so many people think lying about a war and then conducting it is just something to shrug about and carry on.
  5. For the iraq war, yes more or less I think it was his fault and I have thought for many years he and his immediate cabinet should have been brought up on charges for what they did. This is the longest war the US has ever been in, completely unnecessary, and fomented on trumped up and wantonly incorrect information. It was negligent in the extreme and there has never been an atonement for it. Instead, we've had 1M+ people dead as a result and trillions flushed down the toilet as well. Meanwhile he retires happy as a lark in Texas. It's wrong.
  6. It was the iraq war. He was a bit hands tied on afghanistan I think, but iraq was an unmitigated disaster and absolutely unnecessary.
  7. I still think Bush was a worse president than Obama because of the war. He misled the country and it was a total cluster.
  8. Play to win. Second place is the first loser. Stop crying and do better next time if you think Americans wanted Hillary. The ones that mattered wanted Trump.
  9. That is also a possibility. This may swing badly to a castro type in 2020 or it's possible trump will indeed guide us into the light, even though some will be pulled kicking and screaming from their shadowed crevaces.
  10. Very funny. Buzz feed today looks like they got trolled very hard, but what's great is the last paragraph and sentence in this article. The guy at buzzfeed who kicked off what is most likely garbage information warned only a month ago about fake news spreading. And then he goes and does it. http://nypost.com/2017/01/10/buzzfeeds-trump-report-takes-fake-news-to-a-new-level/
  11. You can find the whole thing on youtube, also. http://www.npr.org/2017/01/11/509137239/watch-live-trump-holds-first-press-conference-as-president-elect Trump is unlike any potus we've ever had or probably ever will. This is the best part. http://www.mediaite.com/online/you-are-fake-news-trump-and-cnns-jim-acosta-get-into-shouting-match-at-presser/ Enjoy it while you can. The left will never forgive the right for this and in four years they may get us back.
  12. Since he became potus I can say I've never listened to a full speech.
  13. Snipers. Everywhere, absolutely everywhere. Once rifles sound no louder than a person making a pew pew pew sound neighborhoods will descend into full blown war. Even though virtually every gun death today is by handgun, suddenly gangs will be roaming around with suppressed hunting rifles in their jackets! I've seen enough movies to tell me that the only guys who are using these things are up to no good at all.
  14. Do you realize how silly you're being? I say you can be fired for an offensive bumper sticker you say I hope the employer has their legal fund ready i then post a link showing that firing for an offensive bumper sticker is fine you maintain that an attorney is going to spend their time pushing a lawsuit that they know full well is going to fail lol, just know when you've lost. There are plenty of other battles to fight.
  15. Hipsters will buy these up and make cutting boards, then they can eat soy products cut on this 1000 year old tree for extra authenticity. Or "thousand year old smoked salmon", that special taste you can only get by smoking with thousand year old wood.
  16. It is, but this is a chance for me to segue. If you google world's oldest trees you may be shocked and amazed. Like, thousands of years old stuff. pretty crazy!
  17. I have to imagine there are ways to safely do it. (eg. see culvercreek's last comment) But I bet a six pack of cheap beer and somebody here would come help you out on some lazy afternoon before next hunting season.
  18. So, Uptown, no mea culpa on this one? It's pretty clear my link upended your argument. I was at least hoping for a taste of contrition, given how ardently you argued that a business would be looking at a lawsuit for firing somebody over a bumper sticker.
  19. Fully support their legalization across the board and remove this tax stamp nonsense. They were banned of ignorance and fear, rather like NY with switch blades (has that law saved a single life?). Why would anybody want guns to be MORE annoying? MORE dangerous to the hearing of people using them? Gun grabbers don't like suppressors because they just don't like anything gun owners like. The range I go to is in a crowded area. If even a few people started using suppressors it would make the neighbors happier. Make anti-hunters less aware of slaughtered deer in november, etc. The ironic thing is, if they are allowed against gun grabbers wishes, I could envision a future in which gun advocates mandate maximum decibel for guns, and then we'll all end up being forced into subsonic suppressed guns, to maintain the public peace.
  20. Walworth is mostly cleared out. They have a ton of 270 gr powerbelts at $13/box for 15 (still overpriced, but normally they are $25). #11 percussion caps for $4, some random little tools for a couple of bucks. Some blinds also. No great deals on ladder stands, and archery equipment wasn't on sale yet (this all from yesterday). I did grab some extra MZ bullets a couple weeks ago--they put this stuff on sale the very day after MZ season ended.
  21. You should post some pics. That leupold would still have a warranty wouldn't it!
  22. Free speech never has, or will, exist at work. Also: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=123024596
