  1. You can threaten all you want verbally, there is nothing someone can do over a verbal threat been there done that. I have had people tell me they were going to kick my butt and cause my property harm they said there was nothing they could do.
  2. Yup this is what I would do minus telling him. I would call DEC and show them the video.
  3. No prob, I want to know too. Post back when you find out.
  4. I was thinking the same thing but if you look at the picture of the opened one and my fixed head the cutting diameter of the rage is almost the same as my little fixed head without the blades deployed so I was thinking it would be a wash. I think the Rage not opened would be close to 7/8" cutting diameter where my fixed blade is only 1" so not much of a difference.
  5. I'm in the same boat but found 1 scrap almost walked right thru it. No rubs yet but have lots of old ones from previous years.
  6. Hmm that is pretty interesting. If that is true then they are NY legal.
  7. I'm not for supporting China but here is my thing. I can't support a company that has their product made in China but charge you 15x more than a competitor. A lot of these companies make it out to be in support of hunters and their sport but in reality just taking your hard earned money they could careless. I haven't seen any companies make donations to any Wildlife conservative funds or the like. I don't mind screwing a company that thinks it is okay to charge $15 vs $1 for a product that is the same. Maybe it will open their eyes and stop screwing us hunters out of our money.
  8. Dump them and work them into the ground and not much DEC can say being it's planted. It's like planting cow corn on your property not much they can say if the ground is worked up.
  9. Sound nice but illegal in NY because they stay locked back.
  10. These were listed for crossbows too. I don't there is really a difference between the crossbow and bow Rages other than the color. You would hate my bow, I have a predator camo dip on the bow but black sight and Matthews lost camo QAD HDx. My plan is to upgrade in a few years when my son starts to shoot bow.
  11. China knockoffs, I did a lot of research on them before buying them. Over at another forum site there were a lot of guys using them with great success. I refused to buy the name brand Rage because of the price of the same product. Youtube had a bunch of videos about the rattle and mine don't really rattle. I had 1 with a blade that had a slight rattle. Not sure what difference it would make when it's flying at a deer. Also I would only be out $25 for the 25 I bought. If anything I can use them small game hunting if I don't like them or sell them for what I bought them for. I sent the pictures above to my buddy and he said they were basically Hypodermics.
  12. Just give him a good right hook off the tree onto the ground. I had squirrels step on my hat as I sat in the tree and launch themselves onto the ground from 20' up when I move and scare the crap out of them. If the coon was climbing up just give him the boot to the head worst that happens you piss him off and have to shoot him. Usually they don't look for a fight.
  13. Well I put 2 Rage In the quiver last night. I'm still holding onto my fixed head for tonight but plan on taking a 30 and 40 yard shot to make sure these fly the same as my fixed. Insane the size of the cutting diameter. Below is new vs old. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. Saw deer out in the green fields on my way to work, Was a nice cool 28* at my house down in the valley.
  15. Max out the limbs 1 turn at a time alternating between limbs. Count the number of turns on one limb and compare to the other. Both limbs should be the same number of turns. Once you determine both are maxed back them back out 1 turn at a time until you're back to your original number.
  16. Those are a pretty unique looking BH you shooting the XL's?
  17. Having the same issue on my property, just picked it up this past April and haven't done any scouting with all the house remodel I have been doing. The only scouting I have been doing is with my game cams. I have a lot of pictures of doe and a couple bucks but haven't seen one deer while in stand.
  18. I have to agree the world is a cruel place and there will always be people killing one another. I hope in years to come they will figure out a way to better prevent these mass casualty events. Like Adk mentioned I think it has more to do with the media and being able to know what happens in a short time after the event. I think we globally have less deaths than previous.
  19. Perfect morning to be in the stand, Did a little scouting on our new property (been too busy to do it in the off season) managed to find 2 stands that look like they have been there for a while. I've found a total of 3 not sure if they are previous owners or what but I left a note on the one for 5 months and no one took it down. The others I'm leaving notes on today. I haven't seen a deer the last 4 times in the stand granted I don't spend a long time in the stand but after 3 1/2 hours the temps into the 70s. Anyone in or around 8W seeing deer?
  20. You get the patent I'm sure if I can't make it someone I know can only cost you 50% partnership. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. I always seem to get the stomp then the bound then the stomp then snort. At that point I don't think a deer in the county will be past me and I try to shoot the doe that just pissed me off.
  22. Old enough to know better but prefer the hard way. 31 but feel 50 lately. @BigVal Looks like we are in the same boat.
  23. Yeah it isn't the best smelling fragrance I will give you that. When I first started hunting my dad had me gut my first deer after seeing him do a lot of his well I started at the stomach and he didn't stop me. I got a face full of gut gas as soon as my knife punctured the cavity. That was the last time I ever started on the belly. I can still hear my dad laughing and me dry heaving. It smelled like the deer $h!t on my face.
