Honestly, your dinners always look great. I would have had a bowl if I was invited, I love trying new foods. Keep doing what your doing!

I wear an orange hat, until in my stand. I want to make it back to the cabin to eat until I am uncomfortable.

Doesn't anyone eat dinner anymore? My favorite thread is dying a slow death.

I actually like when people can joke about it, as long as its not tacky. You were wayyyy within the comfort zone. At the town I work for, we do a corned beef, cabbage, potato, carrot dinner for the senior citizens. We cook today, and serve tomorrow. Well we were cutting off the fat on the beef this AM, and this guy was saying how his hand was ice cold from the meat. Well I too was cutting, so i look up at him, and asked him if his left hand was cold too(my left is fake keep in mind, and coincidentally he was holding the meat down with his right hand). Well he looked at me all seriously and said no, only his right hand wad cold, so I said oh good, my left hand isnt cold either(FAKE), I thought it was just me, and I was getting worried. He was so confused, but it didnt click about my fake arm haha. Well the other guys were like, you gotta watch him, he will play games with you lol. He was like OH! And he laughed....you just need to keep things light. If im uncomfortable about it, others will be too, and I dont want that.

Hah, im just kidding! Thats pretty good I definitely can joke about it, no sense in making it uncomfortable, because people initally are already unsure how to act
-
Whatever.

I hear ya, but when I finally get the new hand, it is like getting a new car, haha. Same level of excitement.

With carts.... i park in boon f*** Egypt, so with a cart, if there are spaces downhill from me, I will tip the cart back, so the handle bar is on the ground. It cannot roll away like this.

Venison sausage the boss brought it, and venision ring bologna, as a treat, that he processed. Also, some marinated tenderloin near the fork on the right.

Out. Clueless.

Congrats!

5 at home, with sole permission to 70 ish acres connected out back. Upstate we have a cabin as well with 21, also with permission to infringe a bit. I am horrible at figuring out deer, clueless how they use any of my land really. Not going to lie. All big woods.

Ugh, thats just uncalled for, disgusting, and all sorts of other negative feelings, I cannot seem to describe. I like animals way more than people, I don't care if an animal doesn't serve a purpose to benefit society, or anyone, it should not have to go through what that racoon went through. The participating cops should be stoned to a bloody pulp by the bystanders....

Good for you, wish you the best of luck. I think you are the same age I was when I bought this place. It can be fun, and irritating. I was also a bit of a creeper too when I was about ready to buy this place. I went on taxlookup.org and looked at all the houses on my road to see who lives where, as there are a lot of summer homes in this area for NYC people. Also, if theres a giant tract of land say near you, its always nice to see who owns it. Down in the southern tier we deal with NYC water, and gas pipelines, and giant power lines where they try to take your land by eminent domain for NYC supply. I actually went to the town hall, and asked if there were any proposed projects in talks, for the area. Sounds paranoid, but my dads house they wanted to follow the train tracks behind him with these monster power lines, and take his home by eminent domain, because they needed a certain width of land for the powerlines.

The last stuffed pepper, and a bowl of lobster corn chowder.

I like the woods, I bought my first home 7 yrs ago. I wanted a log home as secluded as possible. I will tell you this, do not settle, and it may seem odd, but you will know the right house when you see it. I looked at a good 100 houses i would estimate, from fixer uppers, to stick built plans, to spec houses already built, even modulars. I saw this one log home for a few months on zillow, and thought it looked dingy...so I always passed on it. Well one day I said screw it, and went to look at it, log homes were always a dream of mine. Anyways, as soon as I was half way up the driveway, and could see just the end of the cabin, I said out loud "this is it!". The cabin was not at all what it was pictured online to be, pics did it ZERO justice. I LOVE this place. Point is, realtors can be GREAT photographers, and sometimes like in my case, can really suck. Food for thought. Oh, and lakes are great to visit in my opinion. I wouldnt want to live on one, unless it was soley mine, and no other dwellings in sight, for many reasons. Good luck, dont settle.
